Express your creativity! Personalize your lawn or garden with a unique
and meaningful garden stone. Includes everything you need, making this perfect
for all skill levels. Let’s get started!
To begin, start by sorting all your mosaic tiles by color. The mosaic tiles have a top and bottom. The bottom is flat while the top is textured with rounded edges. Flip all the tiles so the top is facing up, as shown.
Warnings: Cover your work area and wear old clothes. Clean up any spills immediately! If resin or glue are allowed to cure (dry) on a surface, they will be permanent. Adult supervision is recommended for younger crafters. Resin, glue, and paint may stain clothing, fabrics and other surfaces.
USE ONLY AS INSTRUCTED
Do not swallow or get in eyes. Keep out of reach of small children.
FIRST AID TREATMENT
If swallowed, rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician. In case of eye contact, rinse well with water. If irritation develops, seek medical advice. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water thoroughly. If irritation develops, seek medical advice.
Important Information about Resin
Mixing resin is like baking a cake. To have a successful outcome you must
carefully follow the measuring and mixing instructions! Failure to mix
according to directions will result in resin that will not harden.
Mix Part A and Part B together, emptying both bottles into the plastic cup.
Using the stir stick, mix slowly inside the cup, to avoid air bubbles. Set a timer and mix the resin thoroughly for 3 minutes.
Use the pipette to measure 0.24 fI oz (7 ml) of resin for each wing and 0.17
fI oz (5 ml) for the body. Add a small drop in each of the circles for the
antenna.
Use the markings on the pipette to measure the amount of resin.
Allow the resin to fill the entire bottom of the cavities, rotating the garden stone around so the resin can settle for an even coating. Use the stir stick to help get resin into smaller spaces.
There may be some resin left over. If you fill the cavities with more resin
than noted, it may be difficult to add the mosaic tiles later on.
Peel the film off the sticky putty then press & twist the tip of the stylus into the putty to fill it.
Pick up mosaic tiles with the tip of the putty filled stylus. (When it stops working, refill it with more sticky putty.)
Begin placing the mosaic tiles in the resin. Make sure the tiles are close
together so the gaps are small.
Allow the resin to rest undisturbed on a level surface for approximately 24
hours to cure. Curing times may vary depending on the heat / humidity of your
room.
Use the glow paint to fill in the bubbles. Point the tip of the paint tube into each point of the circles and squeeze to fill with paint. Use the toothpick to fix any imperfections or empty space.
PRO TIP: Practice squeezing the paint tube onto a paper towel
first.
When the paint has dried, place your garden stone outside or under a bright light. Turn the lights off or wait until it’s dark outside and watch your garden stone cast a subtle GLOW!
This product is not intended to be used as a stepping stone.
Place it in an area where it can be admired as a decorative work of art.
