Product Information

The iTALK-310 PoC Radio is a portable communication device that operates on a 4G network. It has an external 4G full band antenna design with built-in GPS ceramic antenna, BT/WiFI antenna, NFC antenna, and diversity antenna all designed with built-in FPC antenna. The device comes with a PTT key, Up/Down Side Keys,  Emergency Alarm Key, Antenna, LED Indicator, Channel Knob, Power/Volume Knob, Display Keypad (in keypad version only), Speaker, Keypad (in keypad version only), Battery Latch, Connector Cover, M6 Connector, Hole for a hand strap, Belt Clip, Battery, Microphone, SIM Card Cover, and Battery Contacts.

Product Usage Instructions

Unpacking and Checking

Upon receiving the iTALK-310 PoC Radio, please check that all items are present and in good condition.

Installing the Battery

  1. Align the battery with the rails on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the battery upward until it reaches the lock position.

Uninstalling the Battery

Slide the battery downward to remove it from the radio.

Charging the Battery – Method 1 (By Type-C cable)

  1. Plug the adaptor into the power socket.
  2. Connect one end of the appropriate Type-C cable to the device and the other end to the USB interface of the adapter. The charging indicator will turn red to indicate that charging has started.
  3. The indicator will turn green when the device is fully charged.

Charging the Battery – Method 2 (Desktop charger – Optional)

  1. Plug the power adapter into a qualified AC power socket.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the power adapter and connect the other end Type-C to the back of the desktop charger. The green indicator light will turn on.
  3. Insert the battery only or together with the radio into the desktop charger. (Power off the radio)
  4. Make sure the battery contacts the charging points properly and the red indicator light turns on.
  5. When the indicator light turns from red to green, the battery is fully charged.

Basic Operation

Powering On/Off

  1. When the radio is off, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until a click is heard to power on the radio.
  2. When the radio is on, rotate the Power/Volume knob counterclockwise until a click is heard to turn off the radio.

Adjusting the Volume

When the radio is on, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase the volume or counterclockwise to decrease it.

Switching Groups

After the radio registers successfully and enters standby state, rotate the Channel knob to select a group.

Initiating Group Call

After switching to a group successfully (note: groups are set under the management platform), press the PTT key to call the default contacts of the current group.

Please note that this product is a PoC Radio, and all functions such as calling, programmable keys, and menu are related to the management platform settings. For details, please contact your dealer.

Unpacking and Checking

Installing the Battery

  1. Align the battery with the rails on the back of the radio, slide upward until the lock position.
  2. As shown in the figure below, press down the battery in the direction shown in ① until the battery latch locks.

Uninstalling the Battery

  1. As shown in the figure below, pull the battery latch outward in the direction shown in ① until the battery pops up and then remove the battery.

Charging the Battery

Method 1:By Type-C cable

  1. Plug the adaptor into the power socket.
  2. Connect one end of the appropriative Type-C cable to the devices and the other to the USB interface of the adapter. The charging indicator is red, which means that charging starts.

Method 2:Desktop charger (Optional)

  1. Plug the power adapter into a qualified AC power socket.

  1. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
