eartec E-Pak Full Duplex Wireless
Product Information
The Eartec EPAK is a full-duplex wireless communication system that allows users to communicate in total comfort. The system includes one MAIN transceiver, which links automatically with allradios in the system when turned on. The system has a green LED power button, a volume up/down button, a programming button with a blue LED, a microphone mute button with a red LED, a battery charger with red and green LED indicators, a headset jack that accommodates Eartec wired headsets, and a battery compartment. The system is FCC compliant and comes with a warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship for a set period from the date of purchase.
Product Usage
- To turn on the Eartec EPAK, press the green LED power button. A flashing green LED means that the power is on, but the E-Pak is not connected to any other transceiver. A solid green LED indicates the E-Pak is powered on and is also sending & receiving wireless signals with one or more E-Pak radios.
- To adjust the volume, use the volume up/down button.
- To pair a wireless headset to the Eartec EPAK, ensure that the headset is in pairing mode (alternating red & blue LEDs) and set the E-Pak radio to programming mode by holding the programming button until the blue LED illuminates and flashes rapidly. When the radio and headset successfully connect, the E-Pak blue LED turns solid.
- To mute the microphone, press the tactile button located on top of the radio cabinet, labelled MIC. Pressing the Mic button illuminates the red LED indicating the microphone signal is muted. Pressing the button again reactivates the mic gain and the red LED light turns off.
- Charge time for the battery is approximately 3 hours. The battery charger has red and green LED indicators. Red indicates charging and green indicates charged.
- The battery compartment can be accessed by pushing up the battery door and sliding it out to open. The headphone jack accommodates Eartec wired headsets.

Linking Previously Paired Headsets
- Each wireless headset is factory programmed to an individual E-Pak. The headsets and transceivers are numbered accordingly.
- Upon start-up E-Pak radios enter search mode (indicated by flashing blue Programming Button). When the radio “finds” the headset to which it has been previously paired the LED turns solid blue indicating connection.
- If the radio fails to link with its previously paired headset within 60 seconds the blue LED turns off.
Linking a New Headset
- When a wireless headset is not paired the blue LED is dark.
- To connect a headset first set the E-Pak radio to programming mode by holding the programming button until the blue LED illuminates and flashes rapidly.
- Next, set the selected headset to pairing mode (alternating red & blue LEDs).
- When the radio and headset successfully connect, the E-Pak blue LED turns solid.
RED LED – Microphone Mute Button
