WELCOME
Welcome to your new Jawbone® JAMBOXTM, the world’s first intelligent speaker
and speakerphone.
JAMBOX delivers killer wireless audio without the hassle of cables and docking
stations. JAMBOX also gives you the freedom to share music, movies, games and
calls whenever you want. It’s the perfect companion to any phone, mp3 player,
tablet or laptop.
Whatever your jam may be, amp it up with JAMBOX.

WARNING
Please read these safety warnings and cautions carefully to ensure your
personal safety and prevent property damage.
Fire and Electric Shock Hazard

Do not expose your Jawbone® Speaker to liquid, moisture, humidity, or rain. Do not use the Jawbone® Speaker near a bathtub, sink, sauna, pool, or steam room. Exposure of the Jawbone® Speaker to moisture could result in electric shock.

Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects in to the Jawbone® Speaker. Such actions could result in electric shock.

Clean the Jawbone® Speaker only with a dry cloth.

Do not expose your Jawbone® Speaker to extremely high or low temperatures.

Do not leave your Jawbone® Speaker in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Do not leave your Jawbone® Speaker near open flames such as cooking burners, candles, or fireplaces.

Battery/Charger Hazard -
Do not dispose of your Jawbone® Speaker in a fire. The battery could explode causing injury or death.

Only charge the battery in accordance with the user instructions supplied with the Jawbone® Speaker.

Do not attempt to disassemble the Jawbone® Speaker charger or force open the built-in battery because this may result in electric shock.

Do not charge the Jawbone® Speaker in damp areas or in extremely high or low temperatures because this could result in electric shock.

Do not clean the Jawbone® Speaker when it is being charged. Always unplug the charger first before cleaning the Jawbone® Speaker.
Automobile Accident Hazard -
Do not leave or store the Jawbone® Speaker or any of its accessories near or over your automobile’s airbag because serious injury may result when an air bag deploys.
Fall Hazard -
Do not place the Jawbone® Speaker on high surfaces such as shelves. During music playback, the Jawbone® Speaker may move which could cause the Jawbone® Speaker to shift and fall off of the edge.
CAUTION
- Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your Jawbone® Speaker because this could cause scratches and damage.
- Do not bring your Jawbone® Speaker in to contact with any sharp objects because this could cause scratches and damage.
- Do not insert anything into your Jawbone® Speaker unless otherwise specified in the user instructions. This may damage the internal components.
- Do not attempt to repair, modify, or disassemble your Jawbone® Speaker yourself, it does not contain any user-serviceable components.
- Do not attempt to replace your Jawbone® Speaker battery, it is built-in and is not changeable.
- Use only the manufacturer-supplied charger to charge your Jawbone® Speaker. Other chargers may look similar, but using them could result in electric shock and could damage the Jawbone® Speaker.
- Observe all signs and displays that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switched off in designated areas.
- Turn off your Jawbone® Speaker prior to boarding an aircraft. Do not use the Jaw bone® Speaker inside an aircraft unless allowed by your airline.
- Dispose of the Jawbone® Speaker and the Jawbone® Speaker’s battery in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of the battery with regular household waste.

Use this button to answer or end a call, access DialApps like Voice Dial
(press and hold for 2 seconds) or hear battery status updates (single press).
VOLUME CONTROL S
Increase and decrease volume using the P LUS and M I NUS BUT TONS on JAMBOX.

JAMBOX is trying to connect to your phone or Bluetooth® device. -

The battery is low. Power up! -
FLASH I NG RE D + WH ITE
JAMBOX is in pairing mode and ready to connect to your phone or Bluetooth® device. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth® settings to connect.
POWER UP
Your Jawbone® JAMBOX™ is partially charged and ready to use right out of the box.

FOR A FULL CHARGE
Plug JAMBOX into your wall charger or computer via micro USB cable. -
TO HEAR THE REMAINING BATTERY LIFE
Press the TALK BUTTON when not on a call.
WHEN THE BATTERY IS LOW
The LED RING flashes RED. -
WHEN FULLY CHARGED
The LED RING turns WHITE.
NOTE It takes 1.5 hours to give your JAMBOX an 80% charge. A full charge takes 2.5 hours.
GET CONNECTED
CONNECTION OPTIONS
Connect to JAMBOX™ wirelessly via Bluetooth® or via 3.5mm stereo input.
When using JAMBOX as a speakerphone, please note that JAMBOX’s built-in microphone only works while connected via Bluetooth.
CONNECT WI RE LE S S LY
Your JAMBOX can wirelessly stream audio from any Bluetooth device within 33 feet. Just follow the steps on the next page.
PREPARE YOUR JAMBOX fOR PA I R I NG
- Hold the ON/OFF SWITCH in the utmost position for about 3 seconds.
- Wait for the LED RING to flash red & white.
- You will hear JAMBOX say that it is ready to pair.
- Release the ON/OFF SWITCH to the middle/on position.
PRE-PARE YOUR PHONE OR DEVICE
Turn on Bluetooth®.

Go to JAWBONE .COM/PAI R I NG or review the instruction manual that came with your phone.
MAKE THE CONNECTION ON
Go to your device’s Bluetooth® settings.

ADD OR SEARCH FOR DEVICES
When “Jawbone JAMBOX” appears, select it. -
IF ASKED FOR A PASSCODE
Enter “0000”
This is a one-time event per device. To pair your Jawbone JAMBOX to another device, repeat steps 1.2 to 1.4.

No Bluetooth? JAMBOX also connects via 3.5mm stereo input.
Play audio from any device with a headphone jack or audio output.
GET LISTENING
GET THE BEST SOUND
For best listening results, make sure your Jawbone® JAMBOX™ is resting on its
base and facing forward.
When connected wirelessly via Bluetooth®, it’s best to turn the volume on your
phone/device fully up and then use the P LUS and M I NUS BUT TONS on your
JAMBOX.
When connected via 3.5mm stereo input, your phone/device may distort the audio
signal if turned up too loud. Turn down
the volume on your phone/device before adjusting the volume on your JAMBOX.
WHISPERS INfO
Jawbone JAMBOX tells you important information like the remaining battery life
and caller ID for incoming calls.
BATTERY LIFE
Press the TALK BUTTON to hear the remaining battery life. When your battery is
low, you will hear automatic battery status alerts.
CONNECT ON PR I OR IT Y
Incoming and outgoing calls will always take precedence over audio playback.
Audio content via 3.5mm stereo input will override wireless audio via
Bluetooth. Your JAMBOX™ can be used as a wireless speakerphone. Just speak in
the direction of the front grill. The built-in microphone only works when
connected via Bluetooth®.
ANSWE R /E ND A CALL
Press the TALK BUTTON on your Jawbone® JAMBOX to both answers and end a call.
DECLINE AN INCOMING CALL
Hold the TALK BUTTON for 2 seconds.
MAKE A CALL
Use your phone to dial as usual. Listen and talk through your Jawbone JAMBOX.
ACTIVATE DIAL APP
Hold the TALK BUTTON until you hear a beep, then release and follow the voice
prompts. Voice Dial is pre-loaded.
REDIAL LAST NUMBER
Press the TALK BUT TON twice.
MUTI NG
Mute the built-in microphone by holding the P LUS and M I NUS BUT TONS for 2
seconds until you hear a beep
SIMU LIGNEOUS CALLS
To answer another call, just press the TALK BUTTON.
PERSONALIZE & UPDATE
Jawbone® MY TALK lets you personalize and update your Jawbone JAMBOX™ via the
web.

NOTE To be recognized by MYTALK, your JAMBOX must be turned Off when plugging
in via USB.

UPDATE
SOFTWARE
Make sure you are using the latest version of the Jawbone JAMBOX software by
logging on to MYTALK.JAWBONE.COM and plugging in. JAMBOX must be turned off.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- 1 HEARING DISTORTION
- Lower the volume on your JAMBOX™ and/or phone/device. (See section 2.1 Get The Best Sound)
- B Make sure it’s charged up. Check for low battery, then charge JAMBOX via USB.
- NOT LOUD ENOUGH?
- Turn up the volume on your phone/device or your JAMBOX.
- B Make sure it’s charged up.
- C Plug JAMBOX in to your phone/device via 3.5mm stereo cable.
- UNABLE TO PAIR WITH BLUETOOTH® DEVICE?
- Confirm that your phone/device is Bluetooth is compatible.
- B Follow GET CONNECTED instructions in this guide (page 7).

- EXPERIENCING SIGNAL LOSS OR DROPOUTS VIA BLUETOOTH?
- Move Jawbone JAMBOX closer to your phone/device.
- B Make sure it’s charged up.
