Button Issues
Why does the volume button not work?
The volume buttons only work during calls or when audio is playing.
Why can’t I mute the headset by the mic boom or the mute button?
- You can only mute or unmute during calls.
- Your conferencing software takes priority. Check the mute button in your software first, followed by raising the mic boom. The mute button only works when your software is unmuted and the mic boom is lowered.
Dongle Connection Issues
What should I do if the sound interrupts or the headset disconnects when using a dongle? Why does this happen?
-
Please decrease the distance between the computer and the headset. Bluetooth signals may be influenced by obstructions such as walls, pillars, home appliances, Wi-Fi, and more. To ensure a stable connection, we recommend avoiding such obstructions.
-
Please try the headset’s dongle on another USB-A port on your computer or change the adapter.
Here are some situations that may cause these issues:- The headset’s dongle is too close to the dongles of other computer peripherals;
- The computer is transmitting data to the USB flash disk;
- The performance of the adapter has different effects on the frequency offset of the dongle antenna.
What should I do if the dongle cannot connect to the headset automatically?
- Turn off the headset and turn it back on. Unplug and plug the dongle back in. Change to a different USB-A port.
- Check if the headset is already connected to two devices via Bluetooth or if it’s in wired mode. You can disconnect one of the devices if you are in Bluetooth multipoint pairing mode. If you’re in wired mode, remove the AUX cable and plug in the dongle.
- If the dongle indicator flashes blue slowly, the dongle is in pairing mode. To connect, turn on the headset and move it close to the dongle. Toggle the headset’s power button to the Bluetooth position to put the headset in pairing mode. The dongle and headset will connect automatically.
If this does not work, use the AnkerWork software to pair the headset and dongle again.
What should I do if there is interference when connecting via dongle?
Do not plug the headset dongle on the same side of your computer as other
dongles. Adjust the headset dongle position to avoid interference with other
dongles.
Bluetooth Connection Issues
Why does the headset not reconnect to two devices automatically?
- Check if the headset is on and close to the device you want to connect to. Reconnect within 20 seconds of making these adjustments.
- The headset cannot reconnect automatically if you’re on a call or playing music. Enter pairing mode and try again.
- If the headset can’t reconnect automatically, restart the headset and try again. You may also try reconnecting the device via the connection history in the AnkerWork app.
If this does not work, forget the device on your phone or computer, and then turn off Bluetooth. Reset the headset by holding the Volume + and – buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. Turn your phone or computer’s Bluetooth back on and search for AnkerWork H300.
Call-Related Issues
What should I do if there is no sound from the headset after answering a
call on my iPhone?
When the headset is connected to an iPhone, if you answer the call by pressing
the answer/hang up button on the headset, the phone will select the headset as
the output device. If you answer the call on your iPhone, it will select the
phone’s speaker as the output device. To change the output device, please go
to Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing. Select “Bluetooth headset” as
the default output device.
What should I do in the following situations?
- People can’t hear my microphone.
- People can’t hear my microphone clearly.
- People say my microphone cuts in and out.
- Adjust your mic boom and confirm it’s not muted.
- Check the input settings for your device and conferencing software. If your settings are correct, check if you can test your speaker and microphone on your conference software. Not all conferencing software has this feature.
- Adjust the noise reduction level of your conferencing software. The headset’s environmental noise cancellation algorithm and your conferencing software’s noise reduction mode can trigger different effects.
Note: If you want to make a conference call in Dongle mode, insert the dongle into the computer to connect the headset, and then join the conference call.
What should I do if I experience these situations during a call?
- I cannot hear others.
- I hear audio, but it’s poor.
- The audio cuts in and out.
- Check the audio input and output settings on your computer.
- Check if your microphone is muted.
- Restart your conferencing software and check the network settings. Then, try again.

- Make sure your headset is close to your device.

- Update the connected device and your conference software.
Note: If you make a call while playing games, the sound quality may decrease. To avoid unexpected issues, do not plug or unplug the dongle during a call. If this happens by mistake, select the computer as the audio input and output device, and then switch back to the headset. If this does not work, end the call, restart the headset, and then try the call again.
What should I do if Zoom shows a different mic mute status than my headset?

- Zoom V5.13.0 or later
- Headset firmware V1.2.9 or later
- Dongle firmware V3.0.4 or later
Issues Listening to Music
- What should I do if I want to switch between my phone and computer to play music when in multipoint pairing mode?
Pause your music on your phone or computer first before switching devices.
App Issues
What should I do if I cannot access the AnkerWork App normally?
- When in multipoint pairing mode, you can only have one active session between the AnkerWork app and AnkerWork software. Using both at the same time will cause an error.
- The AnkerWork software can only be accessed when the headset is connected by a dongle or AUX cable.
Why does the sound quality have no difference after adjusting the equalizer?
- The equalizer only adjusts media sound, not sound from calls.
- Reboot the AnkerWork App.
What should I do if I cannot access the AnkerWork software?
- Confirm the connection method is correct and try again.
- Windows: Connect the headset via the dongle or a USB-C to USB-A cable before starting the AnkerWork software.
- macOS: Connect the headset via the dongle before starting the AnkerWork software.
- Unplug the dongle, and then plug it back in before restarting the AnkerWork software.
Charging Issues
What should I do if I can’t charge the headset via the charging stand?
- Align the charging pins on the headset and the charging stand. You will see a blue light flash slowly as the headset charges.
- Use a different charging cable and a certified wall charger with at least a 5V/1A output. If you use a charger or USB port with a low output, AnkerWork H300 may not charge correctly.
