LET’S PLAY
Hedwig™ will respond when you pet her. Make sure to pet her in the correct direction – she doesn’t like having her feathers ruffled backward!
TALKING TO HEDWIG
Hold her head for 1 second to get her to listen. Talk softly and gently to keep her happy.

Nibbling – when she is in a good mood, open her beak and she will nibble your finger.
YOU CAN WRITE YOUR MESSAGE TO GO IN THE ENVELOPE
- Hedwig needs to be in a good mood to accept your letter. Pet her until she makes happy noises.
- Open beak, insert the envelope into a slot in the tongue.
- Hedwig wants to deliver the letter to the right person. Stroke her head 3 times and she’ll give a happy reaction and you can remove the envelope.
- Once the letter is ‘delivered’, Hedwig will do a happy dance.
SLEEP
After a few minutes of inactivity, Enchanting Hedwig™ will go to SLEEP.
WAKE FROM SLEEP
Open the beak to wake from sleep.
BATTERIES
Batteries included are for in-store demonstration and should be replaced to improve performance.
HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES
- Open the battery door with a screwdriver.
- If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- DO NOT remove or install batteries using sharp or the metal battery tools. Install compartment new batteries
- Replace as battery shown in door the securely. polarity 5.diagram Check (+/-) your inside local laws and regulations for correct recycling and/or battery disposal.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
- Batteries are small objects. Replacement of batteries must be done by adults.
- Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment.

Requires 3 x 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries (included). Batteries or battery packs must be recycled or disposed of properly. When this product has reached the end of its useful life, it should not be disposed of with other household waste. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations require it to be separately collected so that it can be treated using the best available recovery and recycling techniques. This will minimize the impact on the environment and human health from soil and water contamination by any hazardous substances, decrease the resources required to make new products and avoid using up landfill space. Please do your part by keeping this product out of the municipal waste stream! The “wheelie bin” symbol means that it should be collected as “waste electrical and electronic equipment”.
