Saunova 2.0 Control Unit
The Saunova 2.0 Control Unit is a device designed to enhance the sauna bathing experience with a variety of features. It can adjust temperature, humidity, ventilation, and light in your sauna. The device has a power controller, a control unit main switch, and a contactor unit. The maximum power output of the device is 9kW, and it requires a 400V 3N~ 50/60Hz power supply with a 5 core cable. The device comes with optional temperature and bench area sensors, but only one can be connected at a time. The device is not suitable for use in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Product Precautions
- Only a qualified electrician is allowed to make electrical connections and repairs on the unit. Use original parts only.
- Disconnect the Power Controller and the Contactor Unit from the electrical circuit before installation, open the lid of the power controller or contactor unit and repair. Check power supply rating before installation. Check the correct location of the sensor in the installation section of the manual.
Installation
Before installation, ensure that you have a 400V 3N~ 50/60Hz power supply with a 5-core cable. The cable must be HO7RN-F type or its equivalent. Follow the instructions provided with the contactor unit if your heater is more than 9kW. Only a qualified electrician should make electrical connections and repairs on the device using the original parts only.
Usage Instructions
- Disconnect the Power Controller and the Contactor Unit from the electrical circuit before installation, open the lid of the power controller or contactor unit and repair. Check the power supply rating before installation. Ensure that you have a 400V 3N~ 50/60Hz power supply with a 5-core cable. The cable must be HO7RN-F type or its equivalent.
- Follow the instructions provided with the contactor unit if your heater is more than 9kW.
- Connect the optional temperature or bench area sensor to the device. Only one sensor can be connected at a time. Adjust the temperature, humidity, ventilation, and light settings using the control unit main switch and the power controller.
- Refer to the manual for additional important instructions covering the heater causes fire hazard.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Saunova 2.0 Control Unit! Saunova 2.0 Control Unit is developed to enhance your sauna bathing with a variety of different features. It can adjust temperature, humidity, ventilation and light in your sauna. The following information provides you with instructions on adjusting the settings of the control unit. Please, read this instruction manual carefully before using it. Familiarization of key functions will give you a more enjoyable sauna experience.
Precautions
- Only a qualified electrician is allowed to make electrical connections and repairs on the unit. Use original parts only.
- Disconnect the Power Controller and the Contactor Unit from the electrical circuit before installation, open the lid of the power controller or contactor unit, and repair.
- Check power supply rating before installation.
- Check the correct location of the sensor in the installation section of the manual. It is very important to place the temperature sensor correctly as it closeness to the air ventilation cools down the sensor and may lead to overheating.
- The power controller can be operated in a room temperature of 0-40°C. Do not install it inside the sauna room!
- Do not pour water in the control unit or clean it wet cloth. For cleaning purposes, use a cleaning cloth that has been only slightly moistened with a mild soapy solvent (dish detergent).

Contactor Unit
- If the heater used is more than 9 kW, an additional contactor is needed. The contactor unit is linked to the main Power Controller with an RJ12 cable (Fig.2).
- Follow the instructions that are supplied together with the contactor unit.
- Installation of the separate control panel with power controller and contactor unit.
WARNING
Do not embed the control unit into the wall, because it may lead to
overheating of the unit and cause damage!
The Control Unit Main Switch
The control unit switch can be found on the right bottom of the unit. Using
this switch, you can isolate the electronics from the main power supply.
