Product Information

The TSOL-RSDM-DD/DS/CQ is a rapid shutdown device designed to be fixed on the frame of solar modules or on the wall. It is part of the rapid shutdown control system that can control up to four strings of solar modules. The device has input and output connectors for DC cables and an AC cable port for connecting to a power source. The rapid shutdown controller is used to turn on or off the rapid shutdown devices in each string of solar modules.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Fix the rapid shutdown device on the frame of solar module or on the wall according to local regulations.
2. Connect the input of the rapid shutdown device to the solar module.
3. Fix the rapid shutdown controller on the wall using screws or expansion bolts. Connect the output of the rapid shutdown device to the input of the rapid shutdown controller.
4. Connect the AC cable to the distribution box or another power source. Make sure each cable is connected to the right port and that the power source of rapid shutdown controller is turned off.
5. Separate the DC connector and assemble it on AWG 12 (or 4mm2) cable. Plug the connectors into the DC connectors of rapid shutdown controller.
6. Turn on the power source of rapid shutdown controller. The rapid shutdown control system will start to work. The status of lights is shown on the controller. The user can rotate the button to turn on or off the solar modules. Firefighters can push the button to cut off all the solar modules in case of an emergency.

Note: The package does not include installation screws, so installers should prepare these screws or expansion bolts according to the installation environment.

Quick Installation Guide

Step 1: Fix the rapid shutdown device

• Fix the rapid shutdown device (TSOL-RSDM-DD&TSOL-RSDM-DS) on the frame of solar module.

Step 2: Connect the rapid shutdown device

• Connect the input of rapid shutdown device to the solar module.

• Then connect the outputs of all the rapid shutdown devices one after another.

Step 3: Fix the rapid shutdown controller

• Push out the bracket of the rapid shutdown controller. Fix the rapid shutdown controller.
• (TSOL-RSDM-CQ) on the wall.

Warning: Installers should determine the installation location of the rapid shutdown controller according to local regulations.
Tips: There are no installation screws in the package. Installer should prepare these screws or expansion bolts according to the installation environment.
Step 4: Connect the AC cable.

Connect the AC cable to the distribution box or another power source. The definition of the port is shown below:

• (Brown/Black): Live
• (Blue/White): Neutral
• (Yellow-Green/Green): Ground

Warning: Make sure each cable is connected to the right port.
Warning: To prevent electrical hazards, make sure the power source of the rapid shutdown controller is turned to the “OFF” position.

Step 5: Connect the DC cable Separate the DC connector.

• Connect the DC cable.

Tips: Use AWG 12 (or 4 mm2) cable for DC cable.

• Assemble the DC connector.

• Plug the connectors into the DC connectors of the rapid shutdown controller.

• Each rapid shutdown controller can control four strings of solar modules.

Step 6: Start the rapid shutdown controller

• Turn on the power source of the rapid shutdown controller. The rapid shutdown control system will start to work. The status of the lights is shown as below:

On

| The rapid shutdown controller is powered on and sends signals to the rapid

shutdown devices in each string.

Off

| The rapid shutdown controller is powered

off or stop sending signals to the rapid shutdown devices in each string.

• Firefighters can push the button to cut off all the solar modules while in an emergency.
• The user can rotate the button and the solar module will work again.
