Kinetic Bass Amplification System (K-BĀS)
K-BĀS is shorthand for Kinetic Bass Amplification System. This loudspeaker technology makes it possible to accurately reproduce low-frequency sounds while utilizing a smaller cabinet and drivers. This passive system is compatible with all amplifiers and receivers.
- Semi-Gloss Finish
- 8 Ohms Impedance
How K-BĀS Works
A unique cabinet design and a variety of existing speaker port technologies (acoustic suspension, bass reflex, and transmission line) have been combined in a way that simply defies belief! Low-frequency sound waves travel through the internal cabinet into a specially designed chamber.

- Low-frequency sound waves travel through the internal cabinet into a specially designed chamber.
- This chamber amplifies the driver’s back wave, significantly increasing the kinetic bass energy as the air is accelerated out of the vent.
- The result is that the frequency response is greatly enhanced and the dynamic range is dramatically increased.

FAQs
What is the use of a bookshelf speaker?
Bookshelf speakers should not be placed on the ground; instead, they should be placed on a shelf, table, or another elevated surface. They are made with the intention of enhancing sound in tiny to medium-sized settings. Just like anything else, doing your research before deciding will pay off.
Can you use bookshelf speakers on their side?
Although it’s not ideal, bookshelf speakers can be positioned on their side. It’s probable that this will have a detrimental effect on sound quality. While not ideal, horizontal positioning might be acceptable if your goal is casual listening. It’s not best to position bookshelf speakers sideways for sound quality.
Who makes Monolith speakers?
Three THX-certified on-wall home theatre speakers are now part of Monoprice’s Monolith line. California, Brea, 5 April 2022 – Three new THX® Certified Compact home theatre speaker systems have been added, according to Monolith, the high-end audio brand from Monoprice.
Can you use bookshelf speakers for the front?
In a typical home theatre surround sound system, which already has a powerful subwoofer, bookshelf speakers are added. They can be utilized as fronts in addition to rears or surrounds for smaller systems (instead of floor-standing speakers).
Are bookshelf speakers good for music?
Bookshelf speakers can be used for more than simply music. When viewing movies and TV, a pair of decent bookshelf speakers may produce voice clarity and dynamics that are far superior to any TV’s built-in speakers. Many of our suggested models also have a centre speaker that is specifically made to reproduce conversation.
How long do bookshelf speakers last?
The response to these queries depends on the features, the caliber of the construction, and the components of the speakers. If you take care of them, speakers typically last 10 to 20 years before needing to be replaced.
How do you test bookshelf speakers?
Using a multimeter to measure them will frequently produce findings that could lead you to believe the speaker is subpar. The most effective method of testing them is to QUIETLY play a signal through them, listen to it, and then determine whether it generates sound. If it does not, or sounds bad, the speaker needs replacing.
How do I choose bookshelf speakers?
Better sound is not always produced by larger speakers. More frequently than most, they equal more volume. If the speaker is active, larger size also translates to larger drivers and more space for the amplifier electronics. You might wish to consider a larger bookshelf speaker if you value volume.
Can I put bookshelf speakers on the floor?
Consider mounting your speakers on a desk, shelf, or console if they are compact enough. NEVER place your speakers on the floor directly. Purchase a stand or at the very least build one to shield your technology from an unplanned flood.
Where should bookshelf speakers be placed?
The placement of the loudspeakers in respect to the listening position is one of the High Fidelity golden standards. Bookshelf loudspeakers should be angled toward the optimum listening position at 10 and 10.
Do bookshelf speakers sound better on stands?
The fact that bookshelf speakers sound best when placed on a stand is no coincidence. This is so that a correctly constructed loudspeaker stand can lift the diminutive box speaker off of surfaces like bookshelves, floors, and walls.
How far should bookshelf speakers be from each other?
For bookshelf speakers, aim for a distance of 4 feet, while for floor-standing speakers, aim for 8 feet. Too close speakers will cause sounds to muddle and merge together. The stereo image will have a gap between the two halves if they are too far away (more on this later).
Are bookshelf speakers good for movies?
We are frequently questioned about bookshelf speakers’ suitability for home theatre systems. Our answer is always a resounding yes. Bookshelf speakers offer qualities that make it possible for them to work well throughout your home theatre sound system.
Can you put bookshelf speakers in the wall?
The bookshelf speakers I installed in a wall cavity function very well indeed. They are far superior to any on-wall speaker I have heard, despite not being flawless. The finest speakers will be those with front ports, but if you have enough place behind the speaker, I’m sure rear ports would work just fine.
What size are bookshelf speakers?
While bookshelf speakers are only about one foot tall, floor standers are normally about three feet tall. Floor-standing speakers might have more drivers due to their larger size (the part of a speaker that creates sound).
