The package includes: UPS, operating instructions, warranty card and 2 wires
for connecting the battery.
** Please check the rating label/plate to ensure that the UPS is as
ordered. Make sure that the housing of the unit is not damaged! If you notice
any damage, please contact the seller immediately! Keep the packaging for
possible transport.
4.2 PLACEMENT**
This power supply is intended for indoor use only!
- Install the UPS in acool, dry and clean place.
- Install the UPS in a well-ventilated area, keep a minimum distance of 50 cm between the UPS and the wall.
- Keepaway from unstable ground or sources of excessive vibration.
- Keep away from windows, dust, moisture and cold places.
- Keepaway from fire and heat sources.
- Keepawayfromcorrosive gas or fluid.
- Operating temperature: -10*C-+40.C.
- Operating humidity: 10%-90%(non-condensing).
The expected operating altitude of this UPS is less than 1000m. If the installation site is above 1000m above sea level, the load capacity will be correspondingly lower, as shown in the table below.

4.4 INSTALLATION OF BATTERY
A. Make sure using the correct battery cable. The over current ability of the
battery cable should not be less than the maximum discharging current. Please
refer to the below table.
Model number | Specification of battery cable |
---|---|
50716 and 50719 – 500VA | 10AWG/5.26mm2 |
50718 and 50720- 800VA | 8AWG/8.37mm2 |
50717 and 50721 – 1000VA | 6AWG/13.3mm2 |
B.Pleasemakesure that the battery voltage *correct asspecified on the case.
C. Disconnect the UPS from mains power completely.
D. Connect the negative I-) of battery to the EtATTERY TERMINAL ‘-‘ of UPS,
and positivel+Ito the BATTERY TERMINAL”.
E. Before replacing battery, turn off the UPS and disconnect it from mains
power.
** This UPS is designed for longtime backup, the connected battery should
be at least 20AH because the initial charging current is at least 3A. Smaller
battery could be damaged easily.
4.5 CONNECTION TO MAINS POWER AND TO LOAD
A. Plug the UPS into the wall socket
B. Make sure the loads/appliances are turned off before connection.
C. Connect the loads/appliances to the UPS one by one. Make sure the total
capacity of connected appliances does not exceed the rated capacity of UPS.
OPERATION
5.1 TURN ON THE UPS
Press the POWER SWITCH, The UPS is switched on and deliver output till the UPS
gives one beeping sound.
Then switch on the connected appliances one by one. If there are 2 or many
appliances, please turn on the biggest appliance at the first, the smallest
appliance at the last, according to their rated power.
5.2 TURN OFFTHE UPS
Turn off the devices one by one, and then press the “SWITCH” button, when you
hear one beep, it means that theUPS will turn off.
Even if the output of UPS is turned off, the UPS is still working to
charge the battery, the UPS is not totally switched off.
To switch it off completely, disconnect the UPS from the mains power.
5.3CHARGINGCURRENTSELECTOR
Its recommended toselect the charging current as below:
Battery capacity | Charging current |
---|---|
20AH to 50AH | low (3A-5A) |
60N-I to 100AH | Medium (7A-9AI |
100AH to 200AH | High (9A-13A) |
** Wrong selection of the charging current may lead to the damage of
battery in charging process!
5.4 WORK AS AVR (AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR)**
Even if the battery is not connected, the UPS can work as an AVR when the
input range is 147-275V. offering regulated output and overload protection to
the onnecteddevices.
MAINTENANCE OF BATTERY
With correct using and maintenance, the life of the battery can last for three
to six years, depending on the times of discharging and temperature. So
regular check and maintenance are very necessary.
A. Charge the battery every three months if you don’t use the UPS fora long
time. The charging time should beat least 12 hours.
B. If the UPS works continuously in mains mode for more than fours months,
please discharge the battery to 50% of rated load, so as to keep the battery
be active.
C. More details, please refer to the specification of the battery.
ALARM AND PROTECTION
