Product Information

The user manual provides information and instructions for a Lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack is subject to dangerous goods regulations and can be transported by the user in public traffic areas without any further restrictions. However, when shipping by third parties (transport companies), special requirements for packaging and labelling must be observed. The installed protective circuit protects the battery pack against overheating, full discharge, overcharging, and short-circuit. Read these safety instructions before using your battery pack for the first time and act in accordance with them. Also read the original operating instructions for the KÄRCHER device in which the battery pack is to be used before using the battery pack for the first time. Keep both books for future reference or for future owners. This battery pack may only be charged with the chargers approved for it. This battery pack may only be used in KÄRCHER devices approved for it. These can be found in the chapter „Intended use“. Environmental protection

The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not place the packaging into the ordinary refuse for disposal, but arrange for the proper recycling. ld appliances contain valuable materials that can be recycled; these should be sent for recycling. Batteries and accumulators contain substances that must not enter the environment. Please dispose off old devices, batteries and rechargeable batteries through suitable waste collection systems. Proper use

The Li-ION 18-26 DW and Li-ION 18-52 DW battery packs may only be used with suitable KÄRCHER 18 V Li-ION system devices. The Li-ION 36-26 DW and Li-ION 36-52 DW battery packs may only be used with suitable KÄRCHER 36 V Li-ION system devices. Any other use is prohibited.

Safety instructions

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Children should be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
  • Check the battery pack for damage prior to every use.
  • Do not use damaged battery packs.
  • Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical stress.
  • The battery pack must not be completely immersed in water or stored in a wet environment
  •  The voltage of the battery pack must correspond to the voltage indicated on the type plate of the device used.
  • The battery voltage must match the voltage indicated on the type plate of the charger.
  • Do not use the battery pack in a dirty or wet condition.
  • Allow the battery pack and connections to dry completely before use.
  • Do not charge the battery pack in explosive atmospheres.
  • Protect the battery pack against heat, sharp edges, oil and moving unit parts.
  • Do not cover the battery pack during charging and keep the ventilation slits clear.
  • No metal parts may touch the contacts of the battery pack, risk of short circuit.
  • Do not open the battery pack. Get repairs done only by authorized experts.
  • Use the battery pack only with the approved charger.
  • Move only clean and dry battery packs on to the battery holder of the charger.
  • Do not charge damaged battery packs.
  • Replace damaged battery packs.
  • Do not store battery packs along with metal objects; risk of short circuit.
  • Do not dispose off battery packs by throwing them into fire or through household waste.
  • Avoid contact with fluids oozing out of defective battery packs. Rinse with water in case of accidental contact with fluid.
  • Consult a doctor if fluid comes into contact with eyes.
  • Remove the battery pack from the device before carrying out any maintenance and care work.

  • Short-circuit

The lithium-ion battery is subject to the requirements of dangerous goods regulations and can be transported by the user in public traffic areas without any further restrictions.
When shipping by third parties (transport companies), special requirements for packaging and labelling must be observed. Only send the battery if the casing is undamaged. Tape off open contacts and pack the battery tightly and securely. It must not be able to move in the packaging. Please also observe the national regulations.
