Azur 8000 Series Steam Iron
The Azur 8000 Series Steam Iron by Philips (model numbers DST8020 and DST8021) is a high-quality steam iron designed to make ironing clothes easier and faster. The iron has an auto shut off feature that turns the iron off after 2 minutes of inactivity if left on its soleplate or tipped over, and after 8 minutes of inactivity if left upright. The iron also has a powerful steam output that can help remove tough wrinkles and creases from clothes.
Product Usage Instructions
Preparing for use
- Fill the water tank with water using the measuring cup provided. Do not fill above the MAX level.
- Plug in the iron and turn on the power.
- Set the temperature dial to the appropriate setting for your fabric type.
- Wait for the indicator light to turn off before using the iron.
Using the iron
- Press the steam button to release steam while ironing.
- For tougher wrinkles, use the steam boost button to release a more powerful burst of steam.
- If the iron has been inactive for 2 minutes on its soleplate or tipped over, it will automatically shut off. If it has been inactive for 8 minutes while upright, it will also shut off.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning, unplug the iron and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes.
- Use a damp cloth to wipe down the soleplate and outer surface of the iron.
- To remove scale buildup, fill the water tank with a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar, and let it sit for an hour before emptying and rinsing the tank.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or tools on the iron.
- Store the iron in a cool, dry place.
