Running the labbook, when the autosampler probe returns from a random standard rack position (typical is from position 5 or 6) or sample rack position, it may happen that Qtegra stops unexpectedly, autosampler led turn red, and seems that it has lost communication with PC.
Check Qtegra log file, if you find the below error sequence
The error confirm that is not a communication issues but is due of a bad
alignment.
To solve this issue, install Teledyne CETAC Autosampler Alignment or Teledyne CETAC Dashboard tool and perform full alignment.
Follow instructions on document “ASX-280 & ASX-560 Alignment Guide.pdf” that you can find inside Cetac CD or attached to this KB article.
If during alignment procedure, Alignment utility doesn’t find autosampler port, it may be in use by Qtegra software, in Qtegra change the configuration to one that doesn’t use the autosampler, (manual configuration or empty configuration).
IF there are any problems to load alignment files, add keyboard language and set to English.
