Mission of Run into the Sky, Refund Policy and Warranty
Our nonprofit is dedicated to empowering disabled veterans by providing them
with the opportunity to learn to fly and access adaptive flying gear, all at
little or no cost to them thanks to our dedicated fabricators, donations,
gifts, grants, importers, and resellers. Your support through learning with us
directly contributes to helping these veterans achieve their dreams of flight.
All tuition, memberships, fees, donations, and sales of both new and used gear play a vital role in supporting our mission. As such, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer refunds for any payments or donations made to our nonprofit. However, in the event of any damaged gear during transit, we reserve the right to substitute damaged gear with new or used gear of equal or greater value to ensure customer satisfaction.
If you cannot make it to your class and have paid in full for tuition, you will have a period of 12 months to reschedule your classes without any penalty. However, if the 12-month period elapses without rescheduling, the amount paid for tuition will be considered a charitable donation to our nonprofit. In such cases, you will receive a financial statement for the donated amount, which can be claimed as a tax deduction for the corresponding calendar year.
Furthermore, the decision to issue a refund, if deemed necessary by the board, will be carefully considered to ensure it does not compromise the financial stability of our nonprofit, as assessed by our treasurer. Therefore, any refund requests must be submitted to the board for review, and processing may take up to a year to complete. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to fulfill our mission and serve our veteran community.
Additionally, regarding rental damage:
- You are responsible for damage to the equipment as follows:
- Prop: $300 or you fix and balance.

- Wing damage: inspection fee of $200 plus repair cost (Cloud9 repair shop cost).
- Line damage: $25 per line plus $50 an hour for repair.
- Other damage: you fix it or pay for it to be fixed.”
This nonprofit organization stands committed to supporting disabled veterans by providing access to flying education and adaptive gear. However, it’s essential to understand the terms regarding gear purchases.
Firstly, we want to make it clear that neither new nor used gear offered through our organization comes with a warranty. For new gear, if a manufacturer provides a warranty, it’s your responsibility to purchase or submit warranty cards directly to them. Any claims or inquiries regarding warranty coverage should be directed to the respective manufacturer.
Used gear, on the other hand, is sold on an as-is basis, without any guarantee of functionality or performance. While we strive to ensure the quality of the gear we provide, we recommend thorough inspections by certified mechanics or individuals with relevant certifications before finalizing any purchase. By accepting possession of used gear, you acknowledge and accept any potential risks associated with its condition.
It’s crucial to emphasize the importance of proper gear maintenance and inspection for your safety. Any damage or malfunction that occurs after you take possession of the used gear is your responsibility. Therefore, we strongly advise taking all necessary precautions to ensure the gear’s integrity before using it for flight.
In summary, while our organization endeavors to support veterans through education and gear provision, it’s essential for individuals to understand and accept the terms and conditions regarding gear purchases. Your safety and satisfaction are of paramount importance to us, and we appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
Helping you make a good choice when looking for used gear.
We are committed to ensuring that you have the best possible gear for your
flying experience.
To support this goal, we offer motor maintenance and wing inspection services
at a club cost.
Whether you’re a new member joining with our free newbie membership or have
opted for one of our paid memberships, we provide valuable services to enhance
your flying gear.
One of the key services we offer is the inspection of used gear. Understanding
the importance of investing in reliable equipment, we provide a comprehensive
inspection service for used gear at a nominal fee of $100. During this
inspection, our experienced technicians meticulously examine every aspect of
the gear to assess its condition and performance. We go beyond a cursory
glance, conducting thorough evaluations to identify any potential issues or
areas needing attention.
It’s essential to note that while we provide recommendations based on our assessment, we do not warranty or guarantee the gear’s flight-worthiness. Our inspection aims to provide you with valuable insights into the gear’s condition, helping you make informed decisions regarding its suitability for your needs. Additionally, this inspection does not include repairs or adjustments to carburetors.
As part of our inspection process, we start the motor to assess its
functionality and run a series of checks to evaluate its airworthiness.
Furthermore, we provide an estimation of the gear’s
trade-in value, assisting you in making decisions about potential upgrades or
replacements.
Our priority is your safety and satisfaction, and our inspection services are
designed to supportthis. By investing in a thorough inspection of your gear,
you can fly with confidence, knowing
that your equipment has been meticulously evaluated by our team of experts.
We encourage all members, especially those purchasing used gear, to take
advantage of this valuable service. Your gear is the cornerstone of your
flying experience, and our inspection services are here to ensure that you
have the best possible gear for your adventures in the sky.
