Product Information
The AEMS Reflex Sight from HOLOSUN is an advanced enclosed micro sight with a circle dot reticle housed in a 7075 Aluminum body. It comes with a multi- reticle system, featuring a central 2MOA dot inside a 65MOA circle with four positioning points. The reticle represents approximately 5’5 at 100 yards (170cm at 100m). The sight has a motion sensor and dual power sources, including both solar and battery power. It is compatible with any firearm with a Picatinny mounting rail.
Product Usage
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded and cleared by removing all ammunition and magazines from the firearm and verifying an empty chamber before installation or battery replacement. Do not attempt to install this sight kit on a loaded firearm.
- Keep the packaging for warranty claims.
- If your firearm does not have a Picatinny rail, contact a qualified gunsmith.
- To install the sight, use the included T10 Torx tool to loosen the cross bolt and attach the sight into the Picatinny rail in an appropriate position. Apply forward pressure towards the muzzle and tighten the clamp screw to 20 inch/lbs using a non-permanent thread lock.
- To enter time adjustment mode, press and hold the + button for 10 seconds. Momentarily press either + or – button to set the time. Press the + and – buttons simultaneously to save the sleep timer setting, this will power off the sight. The memory function will remember the last saved brightness setting when powered on and off. The low battery warning will activate if the battery voltage is below 2.2V, and the reticle will blink once every two seconds.
- Rotate the knobs to adjust windage and elevation. Do not try to rotate the knobs further if you feel a bind or you may cause damage.
- The AEMS includes transparent front and rear dust covers. Use of the AEMS is not affected when the dust covers are closed.

Objective Lens
A canted objective lens is part of the design of reflex/reflective optical sights. In order to create a proper reflection of the reticle/dot the objective lens must be perpendicular to the LED. Because the LED is mounted off to one side, the objective lens will be canted in that direction.

Multi Reticle System
The reticle for this sight is a central 2MOA dot inside a 65MOA circle with four positioning points. The diameter of the circle reticle represents approximately 5′ 5″ at at 100 yards(170cm at 100m). The default reticle is a 2 MOA dot with 65 MOA circle. Holding the “-” button for 3 seconds will cycle the reticle between Circle-Dot, Dot only, and Circle only.
Battery

One high quality CR2032 Lithium battery is included with your purchase.

A high-quality battery can power the Circle-Dot for up to 20,000 hours, or on the 2MOA dot only or for up to 50,000 hours at a mid setting.
Caution: Do not use a rechargeable battery. -
Battery Replacement(Fig4):
- Remove the battery :
- Remove the battery tray screws.
- Use the included tool as a lever in the top battery tray slot to remove the battery tray and battery.
- Battery installation :
- Insert the battery into the battery tray with the POSITIVE side facing DOWN.
- Insert and press the tray into the battery compartment.
- Tighten the battery tray screw.
Caution
The loss or damage of the seal ring may cause moisture to enter into the
compartment which could damage the product.
Installation onto Firearm
- The AEMS is compatible with any firearm with a Picatinny mounting rail. If your firearm does not have a Picatinny rail, contact a qualified gunsmith.

Sight Operation
- Switch on (see Fig6): Momentarily press either the brightness button (“+” or”-“) to turn on the sight.
- Power off: Press the”+” and”-“buttons simultaneously to power the AEMS OFF (this also turns off Shake Awake).
- Operation mode: Two operation modes are available Auto mode and Manual mode.
Auto mode (default) – Powered by the two-way power supply, a solar cell and an internal battery: Based upon ambient lighting levels, the AEMS will switch between battery and solar cell power automatically for operation in all lighting conditions.
Auto mode operation
- In Auto Mode, the brightness of the reticle is automatically adjusted to match ambient lighting.
- The battery will compensate for power if the solar cell cannot drive the reticle alone.
- RED: If the lighting is low enough, the sight will automatically switch to the battery. While running on battery, you can adjust the reticle brightness using the “+”and “-” buttons to switch between high and low brightness levels.
GREEN: There are 8 settings from 3-10 in auto mode which has the same brightness of manual mode. Press “+” or “-” to adjust the brightness and you are at setting X, the brightness will vary from X to 10 based on ambient lighting.
Manual Mode
- Hold the “+” button for 3 seconds to enter into Manual Mode. A single reticle blink confirms the change.
- Brightness adjustment: There are 12 settings for reticle brightness levels in manual mode. Use ”+” or ”-” to increase or decrease the brightness.
- Holding down the “-” button for will cycle between the three reticle choices (Circle-Dot -> Dot Only -> Circle Only)
- Switching back to auto mode: Hold the “+” button for 3 seconds to switch the sight back to auto mode. A single reticle blink confirms the change.
Sleep timer mode
- Please note that the LED will automatically enter into sleep mode after 10 minutes of no movement.
- The sight will instantaneously wake up and turn on with any motion detected, returning to the last saved setting.
- The default sleep timer setting is 10 min, but can be adjusted.

- Press and hold the “+” button for 10 seconds to enter time adjustment mode. There are 4 options: 10 min, 1h, 12h or the sleep mode is disabled.
- Momentarily press either “+” or “-” button to set the time. The
- LED will blink (1=10 min, 2=1h, 3=12h, or 4=disable sleep mode).
- Press the “+” and “-” buttons simultaneously to save the sleep timer setting, this will power off the sight.
NOTE
- Memory function: The sight will remember the last saved brightness setting when powered on and off.
- Low battery Warning: If the battery voltage is below 2.2V, the reticle will blink once every two seconds.
Zero Setting

The sight has been mechanically zeroed at the factory.

The elevation adjustment is on the right side of the sight (battery
side). The windage adjustment is on the left side of the housing (button side). Adjustment can be performed using the supplied tool (see Fig7). -

Each adjustment click has a value of approximately 0.5 MOA or 1/2- inch at 100 yards (1/4″ at 50y; 1/8″ at 25y). When zeroing at 50 yards, if your impacts are 2 inches low and 1 inch right, you will need to adjust Elevation 8 clicks UP (clockwise) and Windage 4 clicks LEFT (counterclockwise).

The maximum adjustment range is ±50MOA.
Caution: If you feel the knobs can no longer be rotated, you may have reached the mechanical limit of the adjustment turret. Do not try to rotate the knobs further if you feel a bind or you may cause damage.If you run out of adjustment range, contact your gunsmith or Holosun for assistance.
Dust Covers
- As shown in Figure 8,the AEMS includes transparent front and rear dust covers.Use of the AEMS is not affected when the dust covers are closed.
- To open the dust covers, lift the fastener and the cover will spring open.
- When you need to remove the dust cover, unscrew the two screws under the dust cover and remove.
Maintenance & care
This device is a precision instrument that deserves reasonably cautious care. The following tips are provided to ensure a long product life. The optical lenses are multicoated optical glass. When cleaning the lenses, blow away any dust on the surface, wet the lens with lens cleaner or clean water, then wipe away smudges with lens tissue, soft cotton or a microfiber cloth. Avoid touching the glass surface with dry cloth or tissue paper. Do not use organic solvents such as alcohol or acetone. No special maintenance is needed for the housing surface. Do not try to dismantle the device as the internal parts are specially cleaned and sealed and with an anti-fog treatment. Any such attempt will void the warranty.
