SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This manual is an integral part of your product. These instructions are
provided for your safety. Read this manual carefully before installing and
keep it in a safe place for future reference. Select a suitable location. Make
sure you can easily insert screws and wallplugs into the wall. Connect the
wires in accordance with the information provided. The installation & electric
connections must be made using best practices by a specialized and qualified
person. Check the product is only used for its intended purpose.
This manual may be amended as the application is updated. To ensure you have
the latest version, we recommend you download it from our website www.scs-
sentinel.com or from the app iSCS Sentinel :

DESCRIPTION
Even in your absence, view and respond with your smartphone to visitors who
come to your home!
At home, the indoor chime takes over to warn you locally in a traditional way.

INSTALLATION & WIRING
1- Install the wall support under a porch or a covered area is highly
recommended.
2- Connect your wires together in the small orange electrical connector
(supplied) and screw in.
Connect the chime indoors, respecting the distance of 80 m in free field *. The chime’s LED illuminates in blue.

D-1 Installing the app
iSCS Sentinel
To download the app, go to the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone.
Search for “iSCS Sentinel”, then click on install.
D2- Adding the doorbell to the application
Plug in the power to the doorbell. Your phone must be connected to the same
Wi-Fi network as your doorbell. Make sure Wi-Fi is available at the doorbell
location.
Then follow the steps below in the application:
If the device fails to connect to Wi-Fi, an error page is displayed.

Press the button on the doorbell.

You receive an incoming call on your locked smartphone.
Example on Android opposite
If your smartphone is unlocked, you will receive a notification. Notification in both cases on iPhone model. -
If you answer the call, you will be able to hear, but to speak you will need to activate your microphone.

Reset
1- To reset the bell, remove the cover and hold the button with the small tool
(provided) for 5 seconds.
This will remove chime pairing to your Wi-Fi network.

ECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Troubleshooting assistance
Problem encountered | Solutions |
---|---|
If the bell is not added | – Check that the power supply is connected and that |
the LED lights up or flashes.
– Check that you are connected to wi-fi when entering the wi-fi password and
do not include spaces.
– Check that you have entered the wi-fi password correctly.
– Check that your router is connected to the internet.
– Make sure you have sufficient bandwidth.
– Check that your smartphone is connected to the same network entered in the
app.
– Check that the wi-fi network you are attempting to connect to is on 2.4 GHz
and not 5 GHz.
– Pairing must be completed within 3 m of the wi-fi router.
– Contact your internet service provider to check your router’s settings (UPNP
activated, MAC address filtering deactivated, SSID not hidden, DHCP activated,
VPN or Proxy deactivated)
If the LED flashes red| – Check that your doorbell is registered.
If the LED flashes blue| – Check that your doorbell is connected to Wi-Fi.
– If the LED on your bell is fixed blue, it is ready to use.
If the chime doesn’t ring| – Proceed to the pairing following the below

Warranty 2 years
Keep the barcode in a safe place, along with proof of purchase these will
be requested if you need to use the warranty.
It is essential to keep proof of purchase throughout the warranty period.
Not covered by the warranty:
- Material and electrical damage resulting from incorrect installation.
- Damage resulting from improper use (other than for its intended purpose) or modifications.
- Damage resulting from the use and/or installation of parts not included or recommended by SCS Sentinel.
- Damage DUE to a lack of maintenance or impact.
- Damage RESULTING from poor weather, such as hail, lightning or strong winds.
- Returns without a copy of the invoice or proof of purchase.
WARNINGS
- Keep matches, candles and flames away from the device.
- Product functionality can be influenced by a strong electromagnetic interference.
- This equipment is intended for private consumer use only.
- The chime to be connected must not be exposed to water dripping or splashing.
- The plug-in chime must be used only indoor.
- When installing the product, keep the packaging out of reach of children and animals. It is a source of potential danger.
- This appliance is not a toy. It is not designed to be used by children.
Disconnect the appliance from the main power supply before service. Do not
clean the product with solvent, abrasive or corrosive substances. Only use a
soft cloth. Do not spray anything on the appliance.
Make sure that your appliance is properly maintained and regularly checked in
order to detect any sign of wear. Do not use it if a repair or adjustment is
needed. Always call on qualified personnel.
** Don’t throw products with the household waste (garbage). The dangerous
substances that they are likely to include may harm health or the environment.
Make your retailer take back these products or use the selective collect of
garbage proposed by your city.
