Prime-Line K 5080 Black Lockable Screen Door Matching Handleset
Product Information
This product is a door lock that comes with installation instructions. The
lock has an arrow on the spindle that needs to be aligned to the edge of the
door during installation. The break-off point needs to be selected, which
should be 3/16 in. minimum to 5/16 in. maximum beyond the door edge. The
product comes with a strike that needs to be positioned on the jamb to allow
for positive latching. The lock has a diameter of 5/16 in. and is available in
two sizes – 9/16 in. (14 mm) and 7/8 in. (22 mm). The
product comes with pre-drilled holes of 1/8 in.
Product Usage Instructions
- Prior to installing the lock, ensure that the installation procedures mentioned in the instructions will not damage the door, frame, or any other areas where the lock will be installed.
- Align the arrow on the spindle to the edge of the door.
- Select the break-off point that should be 3/16 in. minimum to 5/16 in. maximum beyond the door edge.
- Position the strike on the jamb to allow for positive latching.
- Pre-drill holes of 1/8 in. using the provided holes on the lock.

For doors 7/8 in. thick use short screws; for doors 1 in. to 1-1/4 in. thick
use long screws.

Determine door thickness. -

Drill template
With door in closed position, place template on door at desired height to clear the entrance lock, so that short end of template is against the stop on the door jamb. Mark position of the three holes. Drill three 5/16 in. diameter holes through face of door. -
