INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
LED442 W46EM LED Batten Select

Description: 20 Watt LED, Non-dimmable, IP20, 4000K / 6000K 40 Watt LED,
Non-dimmable, IP20, 4000K / 6000K 60 Watt LED, Non-dimmable, IP20, 4000K /
6000K
Rated Voltage: 220-240V–, 50/60Hz
Factory default setting 4000K
- Switch off power.
- Remove caps, unscrew diffuser and remove.
- Fasten chassis to surface.
- Re-connect driver connection and wire terminal block as indicated.
- Fasten diffuser to chassis.
- Replace caps.
- Switch luminaire on to test luminaire functions correctly and is electrically safe.
Installation note: Do not install on the same circuits as Metal halide, Fluorescent and other “Low power factor” devices. When installed on the same circuit it can cause flickering and/or premature failure of the ‘high power factor” electronic drivers. The harmonic distortion from low power factor devices alters the Waveform of the AC supply which can cause componentry in high power factor electronic drivers to resonate, run over temperature and fail after prolonged exposure.
Wiring for Maintained Mode
Maintained mode = Luminaire is illuminated when switched on, luminaire can be
switched on and off like a normal fitting. The battery is charged (maintained)
via un-switched active connection. In the case of power failure emergency mode
is activated and luminaire turns on with battery backup.
Maintained Mode:
Step 1: SA Switched Supply: Connect mains from on/off switch to Switched
Active terminal “SA’.
Step 2: UA Non Switched Supply (Maintained): Connect non switched main supply
to un-switched active terminal “UK.
Note: For 24/7 Operation (no switch in circuit) Connect Un-Switched Mains
Supply Active to Un-Switched Active ‘UK terminal and loop into Switched Active
‘SA” terminal.
Wiring for Non Maintained Mode
Non-maintained mode is when the luminaire is not illuminated via switch at all
during normal mains supply conditions. In the case of power failure emergency
mode is activated and luminaire turns on with battery backup.
Non Maintained Mode:
Step 1: Connect active mains supply to UA (Un-Switched Active) terminal only.
