Before ‘VARUN’ Installation: With ‘VARUN’ Installation:
PRODUCT INSTALLATION
Varun Controller: Mount the Varun controller beside the pump starter such that the antenna remains at the maximum possible height. Use provided accessories inside the box if required. It is recommended that the controller does not get exposed to water or rain directly.
Follow the key diagram and wiring diagram for installation.
WARNING: We are recommending the installation of the Varun Remote Starter by a qualified electrician.

Range Facts :
Q. Varun was working previously but now I am not able to start or stop the
motor
A. Please check the followings :
- Check the ‘low battery indication’
- Try operating the remote with raised hand or from a height
- Try going a little closer to the controller
- If the problem still persist call customer care
Q. What is the overrun/underrun protection feature?
A. Overrun: If the pump draws 20% more current than the rated current
it is called overrun.
Underrun: if the pump draws 20% less current than the rated current it i
called underrun

If enabled the pump automatically stops running if overrun and underrun
conditions occur. -
Note: To enable/disable this feature, contact the distributor or customer care.
Q. What if my remote is damaged or lost?
A. You may need to buy another remote. Contact the distributor in your area or
customer care to get a new remote.
Q. What is the life of the remote battery?
A. Battery life depends on
- Usage of the remote
- Battery capacity [ mAh]
- Under normal conditions it should work up to 1 year [ 4 ON/OFF per day ]
Q. Pump stops with the help of the remote but does not turn ‘ON’ even from
very close distance.
A. check of of the followings:
- Check if the Current Transformer [ CT ] is OK.
- Check if any one phase is going through the hole of the CT.
Call the distributor or customer care if the problem still persists.
Q. Can I have multiple remotes for one pump controller?
A. Yes, you can have multiple remotes for a single pump controller. Contact
the distributor or customer care.
Q. Can I re-install the Varun controller with another pump having a
different “hp” motor?
A. YES it can be done.
- If the underrun/overrun protection feature was already enabled in the old installation then the controller needs to be re-calibrated. In that case you may need to call the distributor or customer care.
- If the underrun/overrun protection feature was NOT enabled then you can re-install the controller with the new pump without any change.
Q. Can my pump be controlled by another person having another remote?
A. No, the remote and the controller work in pairs. So only the remote that
came with the controller can control the pump.
Q. Can I manually control the pump after the Varun system is installed?
A. Yes, you can always control the pump with the manual ON/OFF switches even
after the Varun system is installed.

2-Year REPLACEMENT warranty from the date of purchase. Should the product
prove to be defective due to faulty workmanship or otherwise, we will remedy
the defect or replace the faulty part or whole product, at our discretion, as
soon as possible, free of cost.
The warranty is however subject to the provision of proper usage, efficient
maintenance and does not cover defects arising out of the fire, accident,
inefficient maintenance, faulty operation, and wilful or accidental damage.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any consequential loss, injury or
damages attributable to the defect or failure of its product.
- Proof of purchase or product registration is required to avail of warranty.
