Product Information

The True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, model NL21, is a product that provides high-quality sound through wireless connectivity. The earbuds come with a charging case, ear tips of different sizes, and a USB cable. The product is IPX6 waterproof rated and supports voice assistants such as Siri and Alexa. It has Bluetooth range of about 10 meters and has a battery life of up to 7.5 hours for music playback and talk time.

Product Usage Instructions

Warnings/Cautions

The True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds contain small parts which may be a choking hazard or disappear in your orifices. The product also contains magnetic material, consult your physician on whether this might affect your implantable medical device. To avoid harm to your hearing, do not listen at a high volume for a long time.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance of the earbuds will ensure their longevity. Clean the earbuds regularly with a dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Do not expose the earbuds to extreme temperatures or moisture. Store the earbuds in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Charging the Earbuds

1. Charge the charging case using a PC or adapter USB port with the provided Micro USB cable. When charging the charging case, the indicator blue light flashes. There are 4 LED lights to represent battery level. After fully charged, 4 LED lights become solid.
2. To charge the earbuds, place them inside the charging case. The corresponding LED lights flashes in blue to display the battery level.
3. The earbuds take approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge, while
   the charging case takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge.

Proper Fit

1. Check the L and R on the earbuds. The L is short for left and R is short for right.
2. Choose the ear tips of different sizes that fit your ears and attach them to the earbuds.

• These wireless earbuds are not a bad choice at all. Of course, they are not as fancy as some of the more expensive ones out there, but they are the best you could afford with the little money you have. The model is called Valco NL21, which is short for the Finnish word “nappiluurit”. It literally means button phones, the 21 is the year of release. The design work here comes from the Chinese engineers, but the sound is 100% Valco.

• Our sound guru Jasse the Magnificent has spent months perfecting these earbuds for a uniquely
  high-fidelity listening experience in this price range. We truly believe that we have earned all the money you paid for these little gems.

• Of course, you are free to disagree. If you think there is something wrong with the audio quality, you should contact our customer service at info@valco.fi – They will help you, if they are not hungover. The Valco logo in the headphones isn’t an assurance of quality, but it is an emblem of the guarantee that we give all our products. Whatever your problem with the device is, contact us. We will help the best we can, which might be or not be much.

• But before we leave you, here are some instructions on how to use your new Valco NL21 earbuds.

Safety Instructions

Important

• Please read carefully before you try to use the earbuds, don’t know how to use them, and contact our customer service.

1. Please read these instructions carefully.
2. Please keep the NL21 earbuds in a proper place. They might fit your body orifices, but are not supposed to go there (except for the ears)
3. Please pay attention to all warnings. We are not joking when we say that you should not stick these in your orifices
4. Please follow all instructions described in this manual before contacting our customer service or complaining online
5. Do not use the product at a place where there is water or moisture. These are not meant for swimming or bathing. IP class X6 means they’ll survive heavy rain, but not a complete immersion.
6. Please wipe clean with a dry cloth. It is disgusting to have headphones full of earwax (or poopoo, because you ignored all the warnings)
7. If you have any question or inquiry about maintenance, please consult with our unqualified, but surprisingly nice customer service

Warnings/Cautions

• The earbuds are meant for your ears only. Please don’t attempt to use them as a sex toy or insert them in any other orifice than your ears. Just don’t.
• If you use the earbuds to add a soundtrack to your otherwise unremarkable lovemaking session, make sure that your partner is comfortable with it
• To avoid hearing damage, do not listen to music at high volume for an extended period of time.
• Turn the volume down on your device before placing the earbuds in/on your ears, then turn the volume up gradually until you reach a comfortable listening level.
• If you feel the earbuds generate heat or you cannot hear sound, please remove them immediately.
• They should not explode, but better to be safe than sorry.
• If the battery leaks, please do not eat or rub them to your skin or eyes. If you get any of it on your skin or eyes, please consult a doctor immediately.
• Do not expose products containing batteries to excessive heat (e.g. from storage in direct sunlight, fire or the like). The range of safe use is from -10°C up until +40°C
• Wipe off your sweat, semen or any other substance from the earbuds and the charging case before charging.
• The warranty expires if the earbuds haven’t been used to play at least one humppa or polka song within the first 12 months after purchase.
• Contains small parts which may be a choking hazard or disappear in your orifices. Not suitable for those physically or mentally under age 3.
• This product contains magnetic material. Consult your physician on whether this might affect your implantable medical device.

Care and Maintenance

• Do not drop, squeeze, bend or use excessive force to the product. Again, only insert them to your ears.
• We know you are thinking about something naughty. Just don’t do it.
• Do not place the product in a damp, cold, extreme environment or for a prolonged period of time. If you are from Finland, please visit warmer countries at least once a year.
• Excessively high or low temperature may cause a fire or the explosion of the battery. To prevent damage of the built-in circuits, keep the earbuds away from extremely moist environments. No sauna for these.
• Do not disassemble the product by yourself. Otherwise, it may result in a short circuit, fire or electric shock and you might be hurt. If you need to replace any part of the product resulting from normal wear and tear, please contact Valco.
• This product contains magnetic material. Keep the product away from magnetic sensitive products (such as credit cards and video screens) to prevent damage.

Listening Safety

DANGER

• To avoid harm to your hearing, do not listen at a high volume for a long time. Please adjust the volume to a safe range.
• If against all the warnings you put the earbuds volume to the max, you are just stupid, and we can’t help you with that.

Product Introduction

Battery charge

Charge the case

1. Charge the battery with the provided USB cable. When charging the product, LED indicator flashes blue light.
2. When the product is fully charged, the LED indicator become solid blue.

Charging case Indicators

Charge the charging case| Charging mode| When charging the charging case, the indicator blue light flashes.

There are 4 LED lights to represent battery level. After fully charged, 4 LED lights become solid.

Charge the earbuds

1. This product adopts the magnet contact charging method.
2. Place the earbuds into the charging case and close the cover to charge.
3. When placing the earbuds into the charging case, the LED indicator lights up in blue.
4. The charging starts automatically and it takes about 1 hour for a full charge. When the battery is fully charged, the LED light goes out.

Proper fit

1. Please check the “L” and “R”. The L is short for left and R is short for right. If you are not familiar with this concept, you can use the earbuds however you want, because it doesn’t really matter at that point.
2. We have provided different sizes of ear tips, please choose according to your ears and attach them to the earbuds.
3. Put the earbuds into your earholes. Ears are the flappy things stuck in the sides of your head. Inside the flaps there should be a tiny hole each side, the earbuds go there. If the music volume is very low, you might have managed to insert the earbuds the wrong way round.

• Adjust the angle according to your ears and make sure they fit in the ear securely and comfortably.
• If the earbuds still feel uncomfortable, change the ear tips.

Power ON/OFF

Power on

1. Open the charging case, the earbuds are powered on automatically. The blue light flashes slowly, and the left and right earbuds are automatically paired.
2. In the power off state, press and hold the touch panel for about 2 seconds (blue indicator light flashes).

Power off

1. Put the earbuds into the charging case and close the cover, the earbuds will automatically power off.
2. In the power on state, press and hold the touch panel for about 5 seconds (Blue indicator light goes outand turn to red).

Earbuds won’t Pair with each other

1. If the earbuds are currently or had already been connected to a Bluetooth device, click “forget” or “unpair” from your Bluetooth settings and turn off Bluetooth on your device.
2. Put the earbuds into the charging case, plug in the charging cable to charge the earbuds, then press and hold the touch panel for 5 seconds, the blue light flashes one time to clear the Bluetooth pairing record.

Dual Ear Mode

Auto connection

1. Take the earbuds out of the charging case
2. The left and right earbuds are automatically turned on and paired. The left earbud stops flashing blue light and the right earbud starts flashing blue light. The pairing is successful, and the earbuds will live happily ever after.
3. Open the Bluetooth function on the device to search “NL21” and tap to finish the connection.
4. If the connection fails, put the earbuds back to the charging case and repeat the above operations. If it constantly fails, contact our customer service. There might be something wrong with the earbuds

• After the first connection, the earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device (Bluetooth needs to be turned on).
• Press and hold for about 2 seconds

Vincent van Gogh mode (single ear)

Auto connection

1. Take the left/right earbud out of the charging case, it will automatically turn on, and the indicator light flashes blue. Leave the other earbud in the case and close the case.
   Open the Bluetooth function on the device to search “NL21” and tap to finish the connection.

After the first connection, the left/right earbud will automatically reinitiate a connection to the last paired device (Bluetooth needs to be turned on).

Earbuds Controls

• The following operations are suitable for both left and right earbuds.

Answer / End the calls

• When your mother is calling, slightly tap the touch panel to answer the call; When you have talked enough with her, slightly tap the touch panel to end the call.

Refuse the call

• When your ex-partner is trying to call, press and hold the touch panel for about 2 seconds.

Play/Pause music

• In the standby mode/music playback, tap the touch panel to play/pause music.

Previous track

• Press the left earbud for 2 times.

Next track

• Press the right earbud for 2 times.

Voice assistant/Activate Siri

• Tap the left/right earbud 1 second to activate the phone voice assistant.

Power-saving function

• In the standby mode (When not connected with the smartphone), the earbuds automatically shut down after 5 minutes.

Clear pairing records

1. Clear the “NL21” connection record on the device
2. Put the earbuds into the charging case, plug in the charging cable to charge the case, then press and hold the touch panel for 5 seconds, the blue light flashes one time to clear the Bluetooth pairing record

FAQ

1. If the earbuds do not function as expected, try the following steps to resolve the issue.
   • Charge the battery: You may be able to resolve some issues by charging the battery
   • Initialize the earbuds (see part 4 in the previous pages): This operation resets the earbuds to the factory settings and deletes all pairing information. Look up information on the issue on the customer support.
   • Ease on the drinking and drug use: This will improve your overall quality of life
   • Contact our customer service. They exist because of you
2. Can’t turn on the Bluetooth earbuds.
   • The battery level is low, please charge the earbuds in time. Put into the charging case to charge the battery
   • Also charge the charging case
   • If this doesn’t help, please contact our customer service. You can contact them even the earbuds work. We like to have new friends.
3. Unable to make a Bluetooth connection.
   • Check that the earbuds are turned on.
   • Check that the Bluetooth device is turned on and the Bluetooth function is on.
   • Make sure the earbuds are not connected to another device.
   • Move your mobile device closer to the earbuds and away from any interference or obstructions. Clear the earbuds pairing list and connect again.
   • If the above doesn’t work, try the following method:
   • Turn off Bluetooth from your phone, computer or other device
   • Draw a constellation in the shape of a five-pointed star polygon (pentagram), preferably with the blood of a virgin.
   • If virgin blood is not available, use ketchup.
4. Place the device you are trying to connect in the centre of the pattern
5. Insert candles in the points of the pentagram, light the candles
   • IMPORTANT: The candles must be made from African beeswax
   • Say out loud: Iä! Age! Cthulhu fhtagn! Ph’nglui mglw’nfah Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn! (Pay attention to pronunciation)
6. Lift the earbuds (they must be within the case) with both hands towards the sky and shout “By the power of Harald Bluetooth … I have the power!”
7. Turn Bluetooth back on
8. The earbuds are connected to a Bluetooth-enabled device (mobile phone, PC, tablet, etc.), but you can’t play a song through the earbuds.
   • For some music playback software, you have to go into the setup interface, and choose to play songs through the earbuds from the list of output devices (it typically occurs on the PC).
9. Poor sound quality.
   • Move your mobile device closer to the earbuds (30 ft. or 10 m) and away from any interference or obstructions. Make sure that both earbuds fit securely in your ear.
   •  Use a different music source.
   • Try connecting another mobile device.
   • Clear any debris or wax build-up from the earbuds and earbuds nozzles.
   • Stop listening to YouTube videos made from 1980s VHS recordings
10. Earbuds don’t charge.
    • Make sure the earbuds are properly placed in the charging case.
    • Make sure the charging case battery is not depleted.
    • Make sure there is no semen or other substances covering the charging conductors within the case or on the earbuds.
    • If your earbuds have been exposed to high or low temperatures, let the earbuds return to room temperature and then try charging again.
11. Charging case doesn’t charge.
    • Check the case battery level by gently pressing the button on the case. If needed, charge the case with the supplied USB cable.
    • Secure both ends of the USB cable.
    • Try a different USB cable
    • If your charging case has been exposed to high or low temperatures, let the case return to room temperature and then try charging again.
12. No sound.
    • Press “play” on your device to make sure the audio track is playing.
    • Place the earbuds in the charging case to check the earbuds charging status. If needed, charge the earbuds.
    • Increase the volume on the earbuds and mobile device.
    • Press the Bluetooth button to hear the connected mobile device. Make sure you are using the correct device.
    • Move your mobile device closer to the earbuds (30 ft. Or 10 m) and away from any interference or obstructions. Use a different music source.
    • Take the earbuds from your pants and put them in your ears
    • Connect a different mobile device
13. Earbuds cannot pair each other or only one earbud worked.
    • If the earbuds are currently or had already been connected to a Bluetooth device, click “forget” or “unpair” “NL21” from your device’s Bluetooth settings.
    • Then put the earbuds into the charging case, plug in the charging cable to charge the earbuds, then press and hold the touch panel for 5 seconds, the blue light flashes one time to clear the Bluetooth pairing record.
    • Cannot hear a person on a call.
    • Check that both the earbuds and the connected device (i.e., smartphone) are turned on.
    • Turn up the volume of the connected device if it is too low.
    • Check the call audio settings of the Bluetooth device to make sure the sound comes from the earbuds during a call.
    • Re-establish the connection using the Bluetooth device.
14. The earbuds always fall off.
    • Choose the ear tips/ear wings that fit the size of your ear.
    • Wear the earbuds correctly, try to wiggle them until you find a good position
    • If the above doesn’t help you might have such unique mutant ears that the earbuds just don’t fit
15. The Bluetooth connection and sound signal are unstable.
    •  The Bluetooth device is out of range. Please shorten the distance between the earbuds and the Bluetooth device.
    •  Keep away from any interference or obstacles. For example, Tesla coils, Electromagnetic fields, and radiation
16. Do both earbuds have call function when using single earbud?
    • Yes, both the earbuds have microphones, so you can make calls with either one.
17. Can I use the earbuds when charging?
    • The earbuds are in the charging case when charging, so you can’t use them during charge. If you take them out of the charging case, they will not charge. We have not figured out wireless electricity yet.
18. How do I activate the ANC (active noise cancelling)
    • You don’t. These are non-noise-cancelling earbuds
19. Does it support the fast charge function of my phone charger?
    • These earbuds do not support fast charge function.
20. What are the environmental requirements for the product?
    • Please use the product under environment where the temperature is between -10 °C and 40 °C. If the temperature is out this range, you shouldn’t be there anyway.
21. How to disconnect the earbuds from a Bluetooth connected device?
    • Put the earbuds into the charging case and close the cover. The earbuds will automatically shut down. Press and hold the touch panel for about 4 seconds (blue light) when turned on to turn them off.
