Product Information

  • Requires 1 CR2 battery (included).
  • Low battery warning system alerts user when battery is low.
  • Programming card can be used to add or delete user cards/badges.
  • Lock can be operated using the default pin code and any cards/tags before the programming card is set up.
  • WAFERKEY App available for lock setup and access to installation videos.

Product Usage Instructions

Product Battery Installation

  1. Remove the outer knob by pulling it out forcefully.
  2. Insert the CR2 battery.
  3. Tighten the screws anti-clockwise using the hexagon key provided.

Low Battery Warning

If you hear 3 beeps 5 times and the red light flashes 3 times, it means the battery power is low. Please change the battery immediately.

Programming Card Setup

NOTE: Before setting up the programming card, you can use the default pin code (123456#) and any cards/tags to unlock the lock. After completing the setup of the programming card, the default pin code (123456#) will be invalid. The Programming Card must be linked to the lock before any other steps can take place.

  1. Tap the programming card on the reader. The red light will start flashing for 10 seconds.
  2. Within these 10 seconds, do not remove the programming card away from the reader.
  3. You will hear 1 long beep sound followed by the green light flashing 3 times.

NOTE: If 2 short beeps occur with the red light flashing 2 times, the setup was not successful. Please re-program.

Lock Setup with WAFERKEY App

  1. Download the WAFERKEY App from the App Store (iOS) or on Google Play (Android).
  2. Open the App and use a Third Party Login or register a WAFERKEY account.
  3. Make sure the lock has been already programmed by the programming card.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and follow the instruction in the App.
  5. Pair the lock in the App and start using it.

NOTE: The WAFERKEY App works on iPhones with iOS 13.6 or later, or devices with Android 8.0 or later. Be sure to accept any available firmware update. Once the lock turns to App Mode, ALL the existing user access settings (Key Card, Passcode …) will be deleted.

Standalone Mode Programming Instructions

WARNING: Standalone Mode programming functions (Programming Card) are NOT available after the lock is paired with mobile App! If you would like to use Standalone Mode, please unpair the lock via WAFERKEY App.

If you have unpaired the lock from the WAFERKEY App or want to use Standalone Mode, please follow these instructions:

  1. Remove the outer knob by turning the screws clockwise using the hexagon key provided.
  2. The programming card can be used to add or delete user cards/badges.
  3. NOTE: The programming card is not used to unlock the padlock.
  4. NOTE: Any MIFARE card will be able to unlock the padlock before it is programmed.
  5. NOTE: There is only ONE programming card per padlock. Please keep it safe. You can use one programming card for multiple padlocks.

Battery Installation

Low Battery Warning (Battery Replacement)

Set Up The Programming Card

Default

  • Before setting the programming card, it is allowed to use the default pin code (123456#) and any cards/tags to unlock. After completing the setup of the programming card, the default pin code (123456#) will be invalid.
  • The Programming Card must be linked to the lock before any other steps can take place.

Note

  • If 2 short beeps occur with the red light flashing 2 times, the setup was not successful.
  • Please re-program.

Note

  2.  The programming card is used to add/delete user cards/badges, but not be used to unlock the padlocks.

Lock Setup with App

Follow below steps to get your lock setup with WAFERKEY App. You can also use the mobile App to set up your lock step-by-step and access installation videos.

  1. Download the App by searching “WAFERKEY” in the App Store (iOS) or on Google Play (Android).WAFERLOCK-C210-Outdoor-Weatherproof-Smart-Padlock-fig-14
  2. Open the App, simply use a Third Party Login or register a WAFERKEY account.
  3. Make sure the lock has been already programmed by the programming card. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone, stay near the lock and follow the instruction in the App.
  4. Pair the lock in the App and start to use it.

Note

  1. The WAFERKEY App works on iPhones with iOS

  2. If 2 short beeps occur with the red light flashing 2 times, the setup was not successful. Please re-do the step again.

Program A User Card

  1. To add a new user:
    Tap the programming card on the reader. There will be 2 beeps, and the green light starts flashing. Tap the user card on the reader, and there are 3 beeps. The programming session will be complete until 2 beeps and red light flashes 2 times.WAFERLOCK-C210-Outdoor-Weatherproof-Smart-Padlock-

Note

  1. Program multiple users: The green light will keep flashing for around 10 seconds after 3 beeps which allows you to program multiple user cards constantly.
  2. Tap the programmed user card while the green light flashing will complete the programming session (Instead of waiting for 10 seconds to flash the green light).

Unlock With A User Card

  1. To unlock: Tap the user card on the reader (1 beep sound and the green light flash 1 time), and rotate the knob to unlock.

Note

The maximum user cards/badges are 2,000. If reaching the maximum limit, there will be 10 short beeps with red light alternately flashing 3 times.

Program The Combination

  2. Touch the WAFERLOCK logo for 1 second until the orange light flashes 2 times.WAFERLOCK-C210-Outdoor-Weatherproof-Smart-Padlock-fig-18
  3. Rotate the knob with the number to the twelve o’clock position, the number will blink. Once the light is steady, it means the number is chosen.WAFERLOCK-C210-Outdoor-Weatherproof-Smart-Padlock-fig-19
  4. After 4-6 digits are correctly chosen, rotate the knob with # to the twelve o’clock position until the numbers flash in order 2 times. The combination is programmed.WAFERLOCK-C210-Outdoor-Weatherproof-Smart-Padlock-fig-20

Note

  1. There is only one combination to unlock the padlock. If new code is programmed successfully, the existing one will be replaced.
  2. The default combination is 123456. This code will be able to unlock the padlock before it is programmed.

Unlock With The Combination

Note

  1. If incorrect codes are entered for 5 times, the combination feature will be disabled for 3 minutes with 2 short beeps and the red light flashes 2 times.
  2. If enter the invalid code 1 time after 3 minutes, the combination feature will be disabled for 3 minutes again.
  3. Only authorized access can lift the prohibition or until 3 minutes pass

To delete all users

  1. Initially, tap the programming card on the reader, then there will be 2 beeps and green light starts flashing. Re-do the same procedure for second time, there will be 2 beeps and green light keep flashing. For the third time, follow the former same steps, and keep tapping card for around 5 seconds until a long beep occurs. The red light will flash 5 times, and all user cards have been deleted.

Warranty

Your Warranty covers all manufacturers’ defects in workmanship and material. It does not cover any unit that is damaged beyond normal usage, by improper installations, by contact to chemicals, or any other acts or omissions unsanctioned within the user manual. All components are covered for one (1) year after the date of purchase or installation from the supplier. The user is required to provide dated proof of purchase. Waferlock or its authorized distributor will determine if there is a warrantable condition associated with material and/or manufacturing workmanship. If the lock conforms to the warranty conditions, the lock will be repaired free of charge. The shipping freights would be at the owner’s expense. The warranty does not include any further obligation whatsoever, including but not limited to the installation of the replacement unit to the customer’s lock. All other warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed. All collateral agreements, which purport to modify this limited warranty, are of no effect.
