Product Usage Instructions
Before Using
Always perform a visual inspection and function test before using the
ATTACK WORKER harness.
- Visually inspect the harness for any damage or wear.
- Perform a function test to ensure all buckles and adjustment mechanisms are working properly.
- Ensure that the harness is properly positioned and locked into place.
Preparation
- Lay out the harness so that the leg loops are not twisted and the EASY GLIDE buckles lie on the outside.
- Enter the leg loops from the top through the hip strap and pull up.
- Adjust the hip strap by pulling the adjustment strap on both sides of the EASY GLIDE buckles to the front until the hip strap sits tightly and doesn’t slip down.
- Push excess strap length through the elastic band ring on the side.
- Close the leg loops by slightly lifting with one hand and pulling the adjustment straps tight using the EASY GLIDE buckles.
- Tighten the leg loops to ensure a secure fit with enough space for a flat hand to fit between the straps and thighs.
- Adjust the leg loops, leaving excess ends of the hip strap and leg loops tucked away through the elastic band ring.
Putting on the Chest Harness

BEFORE USING
Always check before use!
The personal protective equipment (PPE) may no longer be used even in the case
of very minor faults. Faulty personal protective equipment may only be tested
or repaired in a workshop authorised by BORNACK.
VISUAL INSPECTION
- Check that all parts are complete and fully functional.
- Check (that) harness straps are fully functional.
- Check that all seams are flawless.
FUNCTION TEST
- Close buckles.
- EASY GLIDE adjustment buckles can be positioned by tilting and will lock into place afterwards.
ATTACK IN USE
PREPARATION

- C Adjust the hip strap and close: pull the adjustment strap on the EASY GLIDE buckles of the hip strap on both sides to the front until the hip strap sits tightly and doesn‘t slip down.
- D The excess strap length can be pushed through the elastic band ring on the side.
- E Close the leg loops: to tighten the EASY GLIDE buckle, slightly lift with the other hand and then pull the adjustment straps tight.
- F Tighten the leg loops and ensure that a flat hand can fit between the straps and the thighs.
- G Adjust the leg loops leaving feed guide the excess ends of the hip strap and the leg loops through the elastic band ring to tuck away

- L Set the height of the chest harness so that the horizontal chest strap is approx. one hand width below the armpits.
The length should be adjusted so that the seat harness is slightly taut when
the wearer is in an upright position without restricting freedom of movement.
Conduct a suspension test in a safe place to check the settings.
* **CAUTION:**
Check the fasteners and adjustment buckles regularly during use.
* **CAUTION THREAT TO LIFE:**
Do not use the material loops to belay or for positioning
REMOVING
Take off the full body harness in reverse order. L – A.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
There is a risk to life if these safety instructions are not observed!
- The personal protective equipment (PPE) may no longer be used even in the case of very minor faults.
- Damaged, fall-stressed, dubious personal protective equipment or safety devices must be immediately withdrawn and not used. The equipment may only be inspected by an expert or a workshop authorised in writing by BORNACK. This must be documented in the test card.
- No independent changes or repairs may be carried out.
- The full body harness is part of the personal fall protection equipment and should be assigned to a specific person.
- The personal protective equipment may only be used by qualified staff that are familiar with the material. They must be proficient in handling the personal protective equipment and must have been briefed about the possible risks associated with its use.
- In compliance with the accident prevention guidelines (UVV), users of PPE for fall protection purposes (Category 3) must undergo practical and theoretical training. Make use of the training competence of the BORNACK training centres: hotline@bornack.de.
- Accessories from other manufacturers may only be used if approved by BORNACK and may not impair the function and safety of the protective equipment.
- Clothing and shoes must be suitable for the task at hand and the weather conditions.
- Only use the equipment if you are fully fit.
- Health impairments (e.g. the use of medicines or alcohol, heart of blood circulation problems) can jeopardise the safety of the user when working at heights or depths.
- Protect personal protective equipment during storing, use and transportation against the effects of heat (e.g. welding flames or sparks, burning cigarettes) and chemicals (e.g. acids, alkalis, oils) and mechanical effects (e.g. sharp edges).
- Possible fall path if all required PPE components are used correctly: brake path fall arrester (max. 175 cm) + (if necessary reaction time HSG) + physical height (clear height of the PPE) + safety reserve 1 m.
- If users remain suspended without moving for a long time in a full body harness the blood circulation from the legs may be restricted or blocked. This can lead to a suspension trauma and anaphylactic shock, with serious or even fatal consequences.
- Before starting work, the responsible person must draw up a plan of rescue measures that defines how to rescue casualties quickly and safely and ensures first aid measures. Casualties must be rescued within 10 to 30 minutes. BORNACK can help you draw up tailor-made rescue plans in specific training courses: hotline@bornack.de
- The local safety guidelines (e.g. in Germany, the guidelines issued by the professional associations BGR 198 and BGR 199) and the accident prevention guidelines for the specific industry (UVV) must be observed.
- Application temperature: -20 °C to +80 °C.
- Check compatibility with other PPE parts.
- Set the full body harness to your physical measurements (including clothing).

CLEANING
- Dry damp personal protective equipment in the air, not on artificial heat sources. Dry metal components with cloths.
- Clean soiled textile components (e.g. arrester harnesses and ropes) with lukewarm water and a little detergent for delicates. Then rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry in the air. No other cleaning agents may be used!
- For information about disinfection, please contact the email hotline: hotline@bornack.de
- If the personal protective equipment comes into contact with saltwater, keep it wet until it can be rinsed with distilled water.
- Use compressed air to blow on the unit.
.LIFE SPAN
-
Recommendations for the use of personal fall protection equipment in industrial and intervention environments:
Maximum storage period before using for the first time: (up to) 3 years -
If unused, stored in optimum conditions and regularly inspected by an expert, the harness can be stored for 3 years with no loss of functional performance.
Maximum usage period after being used for the first time: 10 years -
If used correctly, occasional and not intensively.
- used approx. 5 to 10 p.a., e.g. in simple training courses
- low mechanical loads e.g. quasi-static with own body weight
- used < 50 times p.a. in normal Central European UV exposure
- no damage or clear signs
- Intensive use and/or under extreme operating conditions, such as sharp edges, chemical influences etc. will reduce the usage period for reasons of safety. The company owner must ensure this in a risk analysis of the workplace.
-
The company owner must ensure compliance with the maximum usage period by documenting first-time use in the test card or the rope log.
-
The test card at the end of this user manual must be presented during the regular expert inspections and completed by the expert.
-

REPAIRS
- For reasons of liability, repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised workshops.
- Only original spare parts from the manufacturer may be used.
STORAGE
- Dry damp personal protective equipment before storing. Store away from light in a dry place.
- Do not store personal protective equipment close to radiators. Permanent temperatures of over +50 °C have a negative impact on the strength of the textile material and will reduce the life span.
- Do not allow personal protective equipment to come into contact with aggressive substances (e.g. oils, grease, acids, chemicals).
- Store the personal protective equipment in the device case or device bag.
TRANSPORT
Transport the personal protective equipment in the device case or device bag
