Basic Operation
Switch Mode
OFF Mode
The OFF mode is the safe mode when any action needs to be taken (e.g Install
or remove SD card, batteries). And the camera can be switched to off mode if
the camera is not used for a short time, please remove the battery if it is
not applicable for a long time.
SETUP Mode
The SETUP mode is for you to program the camera, you can check and change the
settings of the camera by using the built-in LCD screen, e.g photo or video
resolution, the interval between photos, etc.
ON Mode
The camera will work following your programming when in ON mode, which means
entering a surveillance mode if you set it as ‘Motion Detection. The camera
will automatically take photos or video when the PIR sensor is triggered by
activity. If you set it as a ‘Time Lapse’, the camera will be ready to work
following your time setting, PIR motion sensor will not work.
Note : When the camera is in ON mode, the camera will enter surveillance mode and the camera’s buttons will not work, if you want to reprogram your camera, just switch to the SETUP position again to wake it up.
Detection Mode
Motion Detection
The motion detection mode will enable the camera’s PIR sensor to work, detect
signs of surrounding activities within a certain range, and take photos
according to your programming, record videos or take photos and record videos
at the same time if you want to adjust the PIR sensor parameters, Please refer
to the following setting options.
PIR Interval| 5s-60m; Default 30s| PIR sensor will not work at
this period, no photos and no videos
---|---|---
PIR Sensitivity| Low/Medium/High:
Default Medium| Temperature affects sensitivity. The High setting is suitable
when the ambient temperature is warm; you want to capture distant objects or
capture more, and the Medium/Low setting is helpful in cold weather. Note:
This option is invalid if enable Time Lapse
Side PIR Setup| Off/On; Default On| The two side PIR sensors provide wider
sensing angle and enhance repsonse time, However in some situations, you might
have difficulties removing the interfering twighs, or avoiding the sunlight.
If so, have an option to turn off the side sensors
Working Timer| Off/On; Default Off| On option for you only want the camera to
work at a specified period every day. For instance, if the starting time is
set at 18:35 and the ending time at 8:25, the camera will function from 18:35
the current day to 8:25 the next day. rest of the period the camera will not
be triggered or take photos/videos
Time Lapse
Time Lapse mode disables the PIR sensor, instead, it takes photos of record
clips automatically at your programing of intervals. This has an advantage for
the further distance that is out of the PIR sensor’s range, such as big open
areas or monitoring the flowering, sunrise, and sunset.
Time Lapse| On( 5s-23:59:59)/Off;Default 5s| When setting the On option, the
camera will automatically take photos/videos according to the set interval,
regardless of whether the PIR sensor has detected any game. This is helpful
when observing cold-blooded animals like snakes, or the process of flowering,
etc. When the setting is Off, it’s will work with the PIR motion sensor.

- The battery power consumption rate largely depends on the surrounding environment and usage habits, such as insufficient light at night, frequent activities, long-term continuous photography, and video recording lights.
- When the camera is working with full functions, such as infrared light, PIR motion sensor, lens sensor light assembly, etc., high-frequency activities will continue to activate the camera to work, accelerating power consumption.
