Safety Tips
his instruction manual contains information about the installation, operation
and maintenance of the device and should be consulted as an important source
of information and reference guide. Awareness of the safety instructions and
instructions for use in this manual will ensure the safe and correct use of
the device. In addition to the information given here, you should comply with
any local Health and safety Controls and applicable safety regulations. The
instruction manual forms part of the product and should be kept near the
device and easily accessible for anyone carrying out the installation,
servicing, maintenance or cleaning. Please keep these instructions and give
them to future owners of the device. This device is designed in accordance
with the presently applicable technological standards. However, the device can
pose a danger if handled improperly and inappropriately.
All persons using the device must follow the recommendations and instructions
in this instruction manual.
Safety instructions:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not leave the device unattended during operation, this could result in overheating of the oil. In case high temperatures occur, oil might ignite.
- Never leave the device unattended when in use.
- This device is only suitable for indoor use.
- The device is not adapted for use with an external timer or remote control.
- Do not put flammable liquids, gas or other hazardous substances around the product.
- The shell of this machine must be grounded for safety reasons. If the oil level is below the minimum indicated level, it can cause a fire.
- Only a qualified technician and using original spare parts and accessories should carry out repairs and maintenance of the device. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself as this will make your warranty void.
- Do not use any accessories or spare parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer. This can be dangerous for the user and lead to damage of the device or personal injury, and a void warranty.
- To prevent hazards and to ensure optimum efficiency, no modifications or alterations to the device that are not explicitly approved by the manufacturer may be undertaken.
- Any use going beyond the intended purpose and/or any different use of the device is forbidden and is not considered as conventional. Any claims against the manufacturer or his authorized representative as a consequence of experiencing damages resulting from unconventional use or modifications are not valid. The operator is liable for all damages resulting from inappropriate use
Follow the safety instructions listed in order to avoid any hazards.
- The housing and the grill plates of the appliance will get hot during operation. Do not touch them with bare hands. Always use the operating handle in order to open the device. Use appropriate kitchen utensils for handling food.
- After switching off, the device will remain hot for some time. Wait for it to cool down before handling. Never move this appliance during operation.
- Do not open the packages until installation. Pay attention to the markings on the carton surface. Do as the markings indicate. Do not put the whole appliance with the carton upside down. Care should be taken when moving the appliance. Do not store outdoors. Keep it dry and dust-free and store in a well-ventilated area.
WARNING!
- In order to avoid risk of fire and damage to the device, never place kitchen utensils, towels, paper and the like on the grill plate during operation.
- Never operate the device near combustible, easily flammable materials. They evaporate through heating and in case of contact with ignition sources deflagrations can occur which can lead to serious personal injury.
- If a fire arises disconnect it from the power supply before you initiate appropriate measures to stop the fire. Provide a sufficient supply of fresh air.
- Never extinguish the fire with water when the power plug is connected to the socket.
- The appliance should be connected to a suitable power receptacle. The outside body should be earthed properly. Never yank or pull the power cord to disconnect from outlet.
- The power cord should never touch any heat sources or sharp edges. Don’t allow the power cord to dangle over the counter edge.
- Stop using the appliance immediately if malfunctions of the unit occurs. Unplug the appliance.
- Do not use any accessory or spare parts that have not been recommended or designed by the manufacturer. This can pose a danger for the user or lead to damages of the appliance or personal injury.
- Do not lay the power cord over carpets or heat insulations. Do not cover it withany other objects. Keep away the power cord from operating range and do not immerse it into water.
- Never touch the power cord, plug or the switch when your hands are wet.
- Do not leave the unit unattended during operation.
- Never move or reposition the unit when it is in operation.
Cleaning
The device should be cleaned regularly.
Pull the power plug before cleaning. Make sure it does not touch any hot or
wet areas or damage will be done to the power cord. Let the unit cool down
completely.
Do not use water to clean the control panel. Thereby, ensure no water gets
inside theunit. Thoroughly dry off the unit before using.
Control panel, surface of the device and power cord should only be wiped off
with a piece of soft cloth with a mild cleaning detergent solution.. Do not
use any aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive materials as these could damage
the protecting film of the stainless steel and leave the iron particles on the
surface of the unit, which can cause rust.
CAUTION! The appliance is not jet-proofed. Therefore, you must not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning it!
Electrical Grounding Instructions
This appliance is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug for your
protection against possible electric shocks and should be plugged directly
into a properly grounded, threeprong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug. If the output exceeds a certain value, the
plug cannot be used. Connect the wire to a suitable air switch. This appliance
is designed for use in non-combustible locations only. Install the appliance
on a firm, level, non-combustible surface.
For servicing, a clearance of 6 inches (15cm) from the rear of the appliance
to wall should be kept.
Make sure that the voltage of local power supply matches that of the naming plate. Behind the housing, there is a copper-material equipotential terminal. The cross section area of the connecting wire should not be lower than 1.5mm2 .

Installation and connection
The installation of the unit must be performed by a qualified technician only.
Place the device on top of a solid, even, safe and stable surface that
tolerates the weight. Level it back and forth. Then level it side to side.
Connect the plug to the socket. Put the freshly-fried food into the container.
Then turn the heating switch to the ON position, the heating elements will
begin to give off heat to keep the chips warm. The highest temperature for the
chips area will be 50℃ maximum. There is also an illuminator on the top. Turn
the illuminator on. When finished, take out the bottom pan out of the frame.
Then take the perforated pan out of the bottom pan.
Check the power cord for damage periodically. Never operate the unit when the
power cord has been damaged or broken. If the power cord shows the above
signs, call a qualified electrician for replacement. It is highly recommended
that the replaced power cord should be the special type designed by the
manufacturer. Damage may be done to the whole unit and its internal wire if
the wrong type of power cord has been used for replacement.
Only qualified electrician or personnel may perform the repair of the unit.
All the necessary replaced parts have to be the types designated by the
manufacturer. Never attempt to repair the unit on your own.
Waste disposal
DISCARDING THE DEVICE
At the end of its service life the device has to be disposed in accordance
with the national regulations. It is advisable to contact a company which
specialises in waste disposal, or just contact the local disposal service in
your community
WARNING!
To avoid any hazards, make the device unfit for use before disposal. For that
purpose, disconnect the device from the mains supply and remove the mains
connection cable from the device.
CAUTION!
For the disposal of the device please act accordingly to the national and
local rules and regulations.
WARRANTY
WARRANTY Hamoki Ltd warrants the original purchaser of every new product (under normal and proper use and maintenance service as specified by Hamoki Ltd and upon proper installation and start-up in accordance with the instruction packet supplied with each unit) a one year parts warranty.
Hamoki Ltd’s obligation under this warranty is limited to a period of one (1) year from the date of original installation.
