Universal IR Air Conditioner to BACnet/Modbus
The Intesis IN485UNI001I100 is a gateway device that allows communication between a universal infrared air conditioner and BACnet or Modbus systems. The device has an IR receiver and emitter, RS-485 connector, USB port, temperature probe, humidity sensor, and LED indicator. The gateway must be installed by qualified personnel following all safety instructions provided in the manual.
Product Usage Instructions
- Record the serial number of the device located at the rear of the gateway for future reference.
- Before installation, ensure that the AC unit is completely disconnected from mains power.
- Check the emplacement of the device using the AC IR remote controller to ensure proper control of the AC unit.
- The device can be wall or desktop mounted using the built-in DIP-switch block.
- To access the DIP-switch block, release the back lid and gently bend both frontal click-fit tabs using a plane tool tip.
- Connect the device to the AC unit via the IR receiver and emitter.
- Connect the device to BACnet or Modbus systems via the RS-485 connector and USB port.
- Use the temperature probe and humidity sensor to monitor and control environmental conditions.
- Refer to the LED indicator for status updates on the device.

Intesis gateway and/or any other equipment connected to it.
This Intesis interface must be installed by qualified personnel, following all
the safety instructions given here and in accordance with local regulations
for electrical equipment. The Intesis gateway cannot be installed outdoors or
exposed to direct solar radiation, moisture or dust.
Before manipulating the indoor AC unit, be sure it is completely disconnected
from mains power.
DIP-switch block
To access the built-in DIP-switch block, open the enclosure by releasing the back lid. Gently bend both frontal click-fit tabs by inserting a plane tool tip (size <5 mm). This operation must be performed by qualified personnel only
INSTALLATION
Intesis IN485UNI001I100 is intended for wall / desktop mount.

Check device emplacement using your Air Conditioner IR remote controller. Make sure that you can control the AC unit properly with the IR remote controller from that location. Different emplacements are acceptable, as shown in figures below

Connect the RS-485 bus cable to built-in RS-485 3-pin screw terminal block. Notice terminals A (+), B (-) and SG (ground)

Connect supplied USB cable to USB built-in connector (mini B type), for power supply and communication with config tool
