Tough Leads Dust Extractor Remote Control Switch User Manual

Plug the dust extractor/vacuum into the remote control unit’s socket.
Plug in the extractor control.
Press the remote control to turn the extractor on/off:
- Single black push button toggles the unit on/off each time that it’s pressed.
- Keyfob remote has button’s labelled on/off.
- White surface switches are set up so that the left button is OFF and the right ON
- Yellow remotes are set up so that the red button is OFF and the green button ON.

The unit may be mounted to a surface by removing the front cover to reveal screw holes.

Pairing Additional Remotes

Any remotes supplied with the unit are already paired. If additional remotes are later added:

Within the remote control enclosure is a small black box on the far right with a single button. The indicator may be on the side or front.
To pair remotes with separate on/off buttons:
- With power connected to the unit, press the button on the black box 3 times. The indicator will flash 3 times and then remain on.
- Press the ON button on the remote. When the ON button has been sucesfully paired the indicator will flash 3 times, remaining continually on after the third flash
- Press the OFF button on the remote. When the OFF button has been sucesfully paired the indicator will flash 3 times, turning off after the third flash.
To pair remotes with a single button:
- With power connected to the unit, press the button on the black box times. The indicator will flash twice and then remain on.
- Press the ON button on the remote. When the ON button has been sucesfully paired the indicator will flash 2 times, remaining continually on after the second flash.
- Press the OFF button on the remote. When the OFF button has been sucesfully paired the indicator will flash times, turning off after the second flash
To completely clear all paired remotes, press the button 8 times

If the unit is fitted with an off delay, it may be adjusted:

The unit is supplied with the time delay set at OFF button is pressed on any remote, the extractor will run for a further 10 seconds from this time.
The purpose of an extractor off delay is to ensure that the ducting at the furthest point is clear before it shuts down.
The delay can adjusted to between 0.1 seconds and 10 days timer.
With the power disconnected, use a small required off delay.

The middle dial allows iner adjusted of the time, by selected the percentage of the top time applied. 1=10%, 5=50% e.g.:
- To select 10 seconds, turn the top dial to 10s and the middle to 10
- To select 30 seconds, turn the top dial to 1m and the middle
- To select the shortest possible delay of ust 0.1 seconds turn the top dial to 1s and the middle to 10%
