Product Usage Instructions

1. Select the appropriate size and type of cable to be used with the cable gland.
2. Ensure that the cable is clean and free from any damage or defects.
3. Remove any excess outer sheath from the cable to expose the conductor wires.
4. Insert the cable through the cable gland and tighten the locknut until the gland is securely fastened onto the cable.
5. Apply a suitable sealant compound around the cable sheath to create a watertight seal.
6. Connect the conductor wires to the appropriate terminals or connectors.
7. Ensure that all connections are secure and properly insulated.
8. Verify that the cable gland is installed in the appropriate hazardous area according to the explosion protection certificate and local regulations.

PXSS2K series metal Ex d and Ex e barrier cable entries are suitable for unarmoured cables and cables with wire- braid armouring. They are equipped with a compound barrier. They feature a displacement seal for the outer cable sheath coupled with a double flood seal with integral protection.
