With our patented audio streaming solution built into all our high-quality products and mobile app, you will have the ease of playing music throughout your home. All our products are developed with the finest product design and intuitive user interface.Meet WiiM voice remote, a companion accessary for the WiiM Mini and Pro streamers. Use the remote with your voice search and control via Alexa with additional Alexa built in device. You can use the remote to play or pause, skip to the previous or next song, control volume, mute audio, and launch your preset favorite song, radio station, podcast. It has four customizable preset buttons that can be used to play your favorite music presets, or customize it for other device control actions. Just pair WiiM voice remote with your WiiM Mini or Pro from the WIiM Home App and use your WiiM devices without the App or additional Alexa built- in device.

BUTTONS AND INPUT/OUT INTERFACE

Buttons Functions

  • Power: Put the device into standby mode
  • Voice: Press and hold this button to use the push-to-talk Alexa
  • Play/Pause: Start to play the preset content (short press) or save the favorite content as the preset (long press)
  • Volume Up: Increase volume
  • Volume Down: Decrease volume
  • Previous: Play previous track
  • Next: Play next track
  • Source: Switch input sources between network, Bluetooth, Aux-in, Line-In or SPDIF
  • Mute: Mute the current playback
  • Mic: Used to record voice when voice button is pressed and held

PAIRING YOUR REMOTE

Before using it with your WiiM streamers, you need pair it first.

INSERT TWO “AAA” BATTERIES

  1. Remove the back cover of the WiiM voice remote
  2. Insert two “AAA” batteries
  3. Put the remote into the pairing mode by pressing and holding the “Source” and “Mute” buttons at the same time for two or more seconds.

Note: WiiM voice remote package doesn’t include two “AAA” batteries.

PAIR WITH WIIM DEVICE

  • Open the WiiM Home App.
  • Select the Device tab > Tap the device setting gear icon > Scroll down and select the “Remote” to add a voice remote.
  • If the remote is in the pairing mode, you can see the following card.
  • Follow the instruction on the App to finish the pairing.

USE YOUR REMOTE

  • Try the playback control
    • Play/Pause
    • Mute
    • Volume up, down
    • Next, previous track
    • Switch input sources
  • Try the presets
    • By default, the preset buttons 1~4 correspond to the presets 1 to 4 on the WiiM Home App
    • Tap it to play the corresponding preset
  • Try the “Push-to-talk” Alexa
    • Press and hold “MIC” button to speak your Alexa command. When finish recording, release the MIC button
    • Try any Alexa command (i.e., similar to your other far field Alexa devices without saying “Alexa” trigger word)
    • Here are few things to try:
    • “Play daily lift from Spotify”
    • “Play my soundtrack from Amazon Music”
    • “Volume 5”
    • “My daily brief”
  • “Play ESPN radio”
  • “Play Pandora”

To use the voice button on the remote, please first login your Amazon account for the Alexa voice service on your paired WiiM device with the WiiM Home App.

FAQ

If you experience problems with the remote streamer, try these solutions first

  • What can I do if I cannot find remote from the App?
    • Ensure your remote is powered with two “AAA” batteries. There’s no battery in the new remote.
    • Restart the remote by unplugging the batteries and insert these again.
    • Press and hold the “Source” and “Mute” buttons at the same time for two seconds.
    • Go to the WiiM Home App, select the Device tab > Tap the device setting gear icon > Remote to add it again.
  • What can I do if my device doesn’t take the voice command?
    • Please make sure other buttons in your remote work.
    • Please move closer to your paired WiiM Mini or WiiM Pro device.
    • Please try some short commands to see if it works.
  • Besides Alexa, does it support Siri or Google voice assistant?
    • No, the remote only supports Amazon Alexa voice assistant.

RESETTING WIIM VOICE REMOTE

Press and hold “Source” and “Mute” buttons at the same time for two seconds. It’ll erase all paired history.
