Ultrasound Technology
Ambient air which is too dry increases vulnerability to infections and respiratory diseases and also leads to fatigue as well as lapses in concentration.
Clean air should have a relative humidity of between 40 and 55%.
The quiet, energy-saving ultrasonic technology in the humidifier converts water into a fine mist through vibrations which increases the humidity of the air.
This improves air quality and prevents mucosal membranes and skin from drying out.
The capacity of the device is designed for a room 30 m² in area.
Adjust the humidity level to the size of the room using the nebulizer intensity control dial 3.
Please follow the cleaning and care instructions.

| CAUTION
Excessive intensive use can result in an oversaturation of the ambient air which can precipitate on walls, windows and objects in the room.
It is therefore necessary to regularly check using a hygrometer that the relative humidity does not exceed
55%.
---|---
| CAUTION
Ensure that the humidifier is secured against toppling over and operated on a moisture-resistant surface. Precipitation/accumulation can occur particularly when using mineral water/aromatic essences.
The nebulizer is rotatable.
Ensure that the escaping mist is not directed towards other electrical devices, furniture or walls.

Before reusing, fill the tank with fresh drinking water.
If the device is switched off and not used for a long period, remove the water tank from the device and drain it.

Switching On and Off
Insert the plug into a properly installed mains socket.
Switch the humidifier on by initially pushing the ON/OFF switch and nebulizer intensity control dial 3 from OFF to ON.
The integrated indicator light (LED) 8 underneath the water tank illuminates green.
The light illuminates red when the water tank is empty.
Continually adjust the connected device, depending on the room requirements, from the position (lowest fan intensity) to the maximum position (highest fan intensity).
After a few seconds the escaping mist will be visible over the outlet 2.
Switch the device off after use or if only a small amount of water remains in the tank (the indicator light illuminates red) by setting the ON/OFF switch and nebulizer intensity control dial 3 to OFF.
The device automatically turns off nebulization when the water tank is empty.
The device is equipped with a blue night light.
When the device is switched on, press the night light ON/OFF button 4.
Press the button 4 once again to turn the night light off.

Troubleshooting

  • Device cannot be switched on. (LED not illuminated): Connect plug; check the circuit, socket and fuse.
  • There is no mist (LED illuminated red): Fill the water tank.
  • There is no mist, but the tank is full: Set the control dial 3 to the maximum position; place the device on an even surface; clean the nebulizer and transducer with the brush supplied and fill the tank with clean water; rinse the device with clean water.
  • White deposits: Use clean water or at least 1/2 distilled water / 1/2 fresh tap water.
If a fault of the type described cannot be resolved, please contact your service centre.

Cleaning and Care

  • With daily use we recommend that the device should be thoroughly cleaned at least every three days.
Also clean the device before and after long periods of storage.

  • Before cleaning the device, ensure that the device is switched off and the mains plug is disconnected from the socket.

  • Remove the water tank from the device and empty out the contents.

  • Clean the outside of the device with a damp, soft cloth.

  • Do not use any aggressive substances such as, for example, a scouring agent or other cleaning products.
This could damage the surface and reduce nebulization.

  • The water tank can be thoroughly rinsed out with warm water (>65 °C) or with at least 75% alcohol solution.
Clean the nebulizing chamber using an alcohol-soaked cloth and a cotton swab.
Ensure that water does not get inside the device.

  • The ultrasonic transducer is the most sensitive component in the device.
It is important that it is clean and handled with care.
Use the supplied brush to free the outlets of debris and particles of dirt.
Under no circumstances must metallic equipment be used to clean the ultrasonic transducer.

  • If the device is not used for a long time, drain the residual water from the water tank and dry the device.

  • Lime residue can be removed using a mild descaling agent, e.g. citric acid.

  • Store the device in a cool, dry place; ideally in the original packaging.

  • Keep the sealing cap from the bottom of the water tank loose to avoid sticking or fixation of the sealing collar.

  •  To prevent contamination/algae growth from the outset, drain the device and tank prior to long periods of decommission.
Disinfect the tank now and then with alcohol solution.

Descaling

When using hard and mineral-rich water, the device must be descaled regularly.
Please only descale using pure citric acid (powder preparation from the pharmacy)!
(No liquid descaling agent! No descaling tablets! No vinegar!)

  • Completely drain the device (tank and base).
Ensure that no liquid enters the motor opening via the ventilator

  • Add 4 tablespoons (approx. 100g) of pure citric acid into the tank and top up with 2000ml of 60 °C water.
Screw down the tank and gently shake until the citric acid powder has dissolved.

  • Place the tank onto the base. DO NOT SWITCH THE DEVICE ON!

  • Allow the descaling solution to cool in the tank/device (at least 3 hours)

  • Remove the tank and wipe the inside and nebulizer shaft with the appropriate brush (bottle brush, or similar).
Pour out the contents of the tank and rinse well.

  • Empty out the base.
Ensure that no liquid enters the motor opening 6.
Wipe away persistent limescale with the brush provided, a cloth or cotton swabs.
Take care around the ultrasonic transducer! (For light cleaning the perforated ring covering the ultrasonic transducer can be removed and subsequently replaced)

  • Rinse the base well (ensure that no liquid enters the motor opening 6)
