CAUTION! The control device must be connected to the mains permanently
without plugs. The power cable of the heater must be at least SiHF-J or
equivalent. The cables cross-section depends on the power of the heater. See
the heater manual.
NB! Measure the lengths of the cables and determine the locations of the
cables and the parts of the device (Figure).
NB! When connecting the the control device with a singel phase make sure
the fuse where the power is coming from has the necessary amperage and that
all the outputs (U, V, W, N, PE) are connected with a separate wire.
Control panel UKU 1
With a wooden housing
- Remove the back cover of UKU control panel to attach it to the wall.
- Attach the back cover to the wall so that the upper edge of the control panel is at eye level.
- Connect the power cable with the screw terminal of the device.

With a plastic housing
- Connect the power cable with the cable screws of UKU control panel.
- Pull off the control panel control knob.
- Attach the device with screws to the wall.
- Replace the control knob to the control panel.
Main module 2
- When installing inside the steam room, the enclosure should be placed 10-50 cm above the floor.
- Do not attach the main module to the ceiling or inclined surfaces.
- Connect the cables of the UKU control panel, temperature sensor and door switch through a cable gland to the enclosure and main module, see figure.
- Connect the power cable (230 V/400 V) of the control console through the cable glands to the main module, see figure.
Door sensor 3
- The door switch consists of two parts: a sensor and a magnet.
- Use a 5 mm diameter drill when installing a door sensor recessed in the door frame.
- Install the door sensor at a maximum height of 40 cm from the floor.
- Connect the cable ends to the terminals of the sensor.
- Secure the magnet to the door. It must allow the door to close and pass directly by the doorpost.
- Secure the sensor to the doorpost so that when the door closes, the sensor and the magnet will be aligned. The maximum distance between the parts of the door switch must be 5 mm when the door is closed.
Temperature sensor with overheating protection 4

NB! In case the control console is not connected to the user account in
the mobile application, the sauna will not be connected with the network.
Upgrading the capacity of the Local remote control to the level of Wi-Fi
remote control
By purchasing from the mobile application, you can activate software that
converts UKU Local to UKU Wi-Fi. This update does not require a technician to
be called.
TESTING
NB! Have a qualified electrician make the tests.
WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Tests must be carried out while the
power is on.
-
Check the power terminals of the circuit breaker and main module. Bad connections may cause a fire. Switch the power on from the switchboard on by using the circuit breaker. The screen will flash for a moment. The device is ready for use.

-
Check the temperature sensor:
• Install the protection. Switch the power off from the sauna’s switchboard for quarter of minute and then on again. The control console must have turned off and when it is turned on, it must show the current temperature. -
The temperature is renewed periodically, one degree at a time – therefore it may take some time to reach the actual temperature reading.
-
Set the desired temperature to 50 °C. Turn the sauna on.
Check that desired temperature is maintained. Turn the heating off. -
Set the desired temperature. Turn the heating on. Check that the temperature is achieved and maintained.
