SAFETY NOTES
The term “device” is used in this document to mean Traxens-Box V3 (BOX0028/29).
- Device must be installed by a qualified technician who is responsible for compliance with regulations, standards and guidelines.
- Read installation manual before handling device and follow every installation step.
- Before installation, make sure that installation site is safe.
- In case of work aloft, follow safety measures to work at heights.
- Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Follow local electronic waste disposal regulations.
- Store device in a safe place.
- Do not try to open or dismantle device.
- Do not apply excessive pressure to device.
- Device contains Lithium batteries. Exposure of Lithium to a temperature above 100 °C can lead to fire.
- Batteries are not replaceable. There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced by an inappropriate battery type.
- Dispose of used batteries according to instructions. Battery should be recycled according to the local legislation.
- Do not expose device to hydrocarbon or chemical products.
- Clean device with slightly soapy water.
- Do not use device if it does not function properly or if it has fallen.
- The used battery could not be discarded freely. It is not allowed to burn or throw directly into the trash can.
- Strictly prohibited to use or heat outside the permitted temperature range.
- It is recommended to store the devices in a 25°C (77°F) area.
WARNING FCC and ISED Radio-frequency Exposure Statement
This equipment generates and radiates radio-frequency energy. In order to
comply with the FCC and ISED radio-frequency radiation exposure guidelines for
uncontrolled environment, this equipment has to be installed and operated
while maintaining a minimum body to antenna distance of 20cm. Users are not
permitted to make changes or modify the system in any way. Changes or
modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance
could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This device complies
with part 15 of the FCC Rules. This device complies with Industry Canada
licence-exempt RSS standard(s)
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference and,
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Operating temperature range in EX zone: -22°F to 140°F / -30°C to 60°C
- Operating temperature range outside EX zone extended to: -22°F to 158°F / -30°C to 70°C

TRAXENS provides for one installation:
- 1 Traxens-Box 3DA-342-XXX
- 4 blind rivets
Only for the first shipment, TRAXENS provides:
- 1 drilling template – EIP0058-00
The installer will need:
- Electric hand drill
- Ø 5 mm long drill bit
- Jaw wrench or crew clamp
- Manual punch riveter
EARLY WAKE-UP
TRAXENS requires a 6 to 12 hours early wake-up phase to ensure initial GSM communication of the device before physical installation on the equipment. In practice, a depot might wake up at the same time all devices to meet daily installation requests.
- If device is not communicating after 24 hours, contact supportl1@traxens.com who will suggest you how to proceed.
HOW TO WAKE-UP DEVICE
- Check the device LED is flashing blue every 15s (offline mode)
- Open the Field mobile application
- Select Device Wake up functionality
- Follow instructions
- Put the mobile over the RFID tag
- Wait for confirmation
- Check the device LED is flashing green every 15s (nominal mode)
DEVICE INSTALLATION
- Make sure the sensor hole B is centered with the sensor.
PAIR THE TRAXENS-BOX AND THE CONTAINER
To associate container Id and device Id, the installer needs to pair them with the Traxens Field Mobile Application.
- This application is available on Google Play Store. Search for the keyword “Traxens Field” and download the application named “Field”.
