STEP – BY – STEP GUIDE TO SETUP YOUR UPS
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE STARTING
-
Confirm the voltage (V) of each device you want to connect to the UPS. Ensure that you connect your device to the DC Output port on the UPS with the same voltage rating. Failure to do this may result in damage to the connected device.
– You can check the voltage (V) of each device on its label or on the label of the device’s power supply. -
Ensure that the Amperage (A) of the device(s) you want to connect to the UPS, does NOT exceed the Amperage (A) for the applicable DC Output you will connect them to. NOTE that it does not matter if it is lower than the indicated Amperage (A).
-
A I 2V DC 2.5A max. adapter is required to power the UPS30 Input. This adapter is not included with the device. Use your Router’s existing I 2V DC power adapter to power the UPS30.
-
ONLY connect 2 devices to the Y-Cable if they have the same voltage rating and they are close enough to each other for the 2 ends of the Y-Cable to reach both devices.
IMPORTANT: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that their devices
are connected correctly and to the correct and appropriate outputs.
STEP 1: Connecting the power cable
Connect a I2V DC 2.5A max. power adapter to an electric outlet and the other
end to the Input port of the UPS30. Switch your electric outlet on. The UPS30
will automatically power on.
STEP 2: Connecting a device to the UPS
Connect one end of the provided Y-Cable to the Output port on the UPS and the
other end to the applicable device/s.

TROUBLESHOOTING
ISSUE / ERROR | POSSIBLE EXPLANATION/SOLUTION |
---|---|
Charge LED is off | The Input cable is disconnected, or the AC mains supply is |
off or unplugged.
Work LED is off| The Y-Cable is not connected to the Output port, or the
connected devices are turned off.
Charge LED is flashing (red)| The UPS30 is busy charging.
Important
The UPS30 is rated to provide 12V DC 2.5A max. Do not exceed the maximum load
that can be supplied by the device. If the UPS will not be used for extended
periods, ensure that it is fully charged before storing in a cool, dry place.
If the UPS has been in storage too long, you will need to plug in mains power
until the charge LED turns solid green. It is recommended that the UPS battery
is charged once per month.
WARNING
- Always check the working voltage, current and polarity of the loads before connecting them to the UPS, connecting them to the appropriate voltage output Charge device fully prior to initial use.
- Damage caused by dropping, disassembling or attempting to repair the UPS privately will render your warranty null and void.
- Do not immerse the UPS in water or allow it to get wet.
- Do not dispose of any of the UPS’s components in a fire.
- Do not use the UPS in a flammable environment.
