Directions for safety use

Before using the device, read this Operating Instruction and keep it for future use. Any repair or modification carried out by yourselves results in loss of guarantee. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage that can result from improper device installation or operation. Installation of the device should be carried out by an experienced person familiar with the relevant installation regulations in force in the country concerned or by an electrician. In view of the fact that the technical data are subject to continuous modifications, the manufacturer reserves a right to make changes to the product characteristics and to introduce different constructional solutions without deterioration of the product parameters or functional quality. Additional information and technical support related to the product is available at www.adviti.pl. Orno-Logistic Sp. z o.o. holds no responsibility for the results of non-compliance with the provisions of the present Manual. 16. The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation.
  17. Every household is a user of electrical and electronic equipment and therefore a potential producer of hazardous waste to humans and the environment from the presence of hazardous substances, mixtures and components in the equipment. On the other hand, waste equipment is a valuable material, from which we can recover raw materials such as copper, tin, glass, iron and others. The symbol of a crossed-out rubbish bin placed on the equipment, packaging or documents attached thereto indicates the necessity of separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Products marked in this way, under penalty of a fine, may not be disposed of in ordinary waste together with other waste. The marking also means that the equipment was placed on the market after the 13th August 2005. It is the user’s responsibility to hand over the waste equipment to a designated collection point for proper treatment. Used equipment may also be returned to the seller in case of purchase of a new product in a quantity not greater than the new purchased equipment of the same type. Information about the available waste electrical equipment collection system can be found at the information point of the shop and in the municipal office. Proper handling of waste equipment prevents negative consequences for the environment and human health!

Important information before installation

When choosing a mounting location, the following criteria should be taken into account:
– the device should be installed by an experienced electrician,
– avoid installing the lamp on uneven surfaces,
– the sensor should not be directed to illuminated bright objects (i.e. white) or being a source of heat because they can negatively affect the sensor’s operation, – do not mount near strong sources of electromagnetic interference,
– do not mount opposite highly reflective surfaces, e.g. mirrors, windows, etc.,
– do not place the lamp near objects that can be moved by strong wind (trees, bushes, curtains etc.).
– make sure the power cables have adequate current protection in the form of appropriate fuses or other devices disconnecting power in the event of overload,
– contamination of the sensor optics reduces the range and sensitivity of motion detection
– do not make repairs yourself, beware of your safety.

Intended use/purpose

This LED floodlight is intended for use in households and for general purpose. It is suitable for indoor (garages, halls) and outdoor use (parking, garden lighting, property, facades, advertising, etc.). The light is provided by LED SMD 2835 diodes. The built-in PI R motion sensor, switches on only when motion has been detected and enables adjustment of light activation time to the required minimum.

Installation

  1. Turn off the main power supply. (fig. 1)
  2. Prepare the equipment required for installation. (fig. 2)
  3. Remove the cover by turning 4 screws (fig. 3)
  4. Attach the floodlight base to the ground
  5. Put the wire through a wire gland
  6. Connect phase terminal to brown (L), neutral terminal to blue (N) and protect terminal to green-yellow wire (PE) (fig. 4)
  7. Mount the cover and turn on the power supply. (fig. 6)

ATTENTION: For optimum detection, the sensor suspension height should be between 1.8 and 2.5 m. Before starting the installation, it should be taken into account that motion detection is more effective when motion takes place across the detection area, not straight ahead.

Test of device

The sensor is equipped with three knobs: SENS, TIME oraz LUX.
SENS – allows to set the distance at which the sensor will be able to detect movement.
TIME – allows to specify the time of the device operation after the sensor activation.
LUX – this setting specifies the luminous intensity at which the device stops motion detection while remaining in the stand-by mode. This secures against undesirable lighting switching on by day.

  1. Turn the LUX knob on the maximum (0) and the TIME knob anti-clockwise on the minimum. Switch on the power and wait approx. 10 seconds for the sensor to calibrate to the environment. After this time the sensor will switch on approx. 10 seconds after each detection.
  2. Turn the TIME knob on the required setting.
  3. Turn the LUX knob anti-clockwise from the MAX to the MIN. (moon)
In order for the sensor to switch on earlier, e.g. during twilight, wait for the selected light level and slowly turn the LUX knob to MAX position at the moment of motion detection until the sensor switches on.

Some problems and solutions

The lighting does not work:
a. Please check power supply connection
b. Please check the sensor and ambient light settings.
The poor sensitivity:
a. Please check that there are no devices in front of the sensor that may interfere with the received signals.
b. Please check the ambient temperature.
c. Please check that the detected object is within the sensor’s detection field.
d. Please check that the installation height is in accordance with the recommendations.
e. Please check that the sensor position setting is correct.
The sensor cannot automatically switch off the load:
a. Please check that there are continuous motion signals in the detection field.
b. Please check that the switch-off delay time is set to the longest value.
c. Please check that the power source corresponds to the ratings shown in the manual.

Safety and maintenance

Any maintenance shall be carried out after the power source has been switched off.
Clean with dry and delicate cloths only.
