SIEMENS MS-151 Manual Fire Alarm Stations
INTRODUCTION
Model-151 from Siemens Industry, Inc., is a single-action, single-pole manual
station; Model-157 is a single-action, double pole manual station. Both models
operate with an internal toggle switch (See Figure 3).
When an alarm condition occurs, pull down on the cover of the manual station
until the word ALARM appears. The interior toggle switch moves to ALARM at the
same time.
When the manual station is reset, the toggle switch returns to NORMAL. See the
instructions below for resetting the manual station.
INSTALLATION

Distribute the manual station boxes throughout the protected area so that they are unobstructed, readily accessible, and located in the normal exit path.

Place the manual station according to the regulations of the authorities having jurisdiction.

For surface mounting, mount the backplate to a Model SB-15 Backbox as shown in Figure 3. For flush mounting, mount the backplate to a user supplied single gang switchbox.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the screws. Overtightening may distort the backplate. -
Wire the manual stations, referring to Figure 1 or Figure 2, as appropriate. Follow all regulations of the authorities having jurisdiction.

Before installing the cover, check that the toggle switch is in the NORMAL position (See Figure 3).

To position the cover, turn the reset screw up by turning the Allen key counterclockwise a quarter turn. The backplate then holds the cover in position.

To indicate an alarm, pull down on the cover. (The word ALARM should be visible.)

TO RESET THE MANUAL STATION: Turn the Allen key counterclockwise a quarter turn. The station resets automatically. (Do not hold the cover when the Allen key is turned.)

If you have to remove the cover, turn the Allen key one quarter turn counterclockwise while pushing the cover up. Then pull the cover away from the backplate.
