USAGE NOTES

Do not use a power supply with a voltage higher than 5V == cause damage to the player.

  • Listen at high volume for long periods of time, may damage your hearing.
  • Avoid using it in the following cases:
    • Near strong heat sources, such as central heating plants or stoves.
    • In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.
    • In very dusty places.
    • In places subject to strong vibrations.
    • Position the appliance in such a way that there is always enough room for free air circulation (at least 5cm).
  • Do not block the air inlets.
  • If any liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately from the socket and take it to the nearest TREVI-authorised service center.
  • Before switching on the appliance, always check that the power cable and the connection cable are properly installed.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on this.
  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no object filled with water, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
  • Keep this manual for future reference.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

For cleaning it is recommended to use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive substances.

IMPORTANT
The construction of this device guarantees a long flawless operation. However, if come to some problem, you should consult your nearest authorized service center. TREVI pursues a policy of continuous research and development. Therefore, the products may show different characteristics from those described.

WARNING FOR THE CORRECT USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

  • Recharge the battery at an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
  • Don’t recharge for more than a suitable period to prevent the risk of overheating and bursting.
  • Recharging the battery over a suitable period or an extended period of inactivity may reduce battery duration.
  • The rechargeable battery is liable to wear and tear and its performance will reduce gradually.
  • To extend the duration of the battery use it when is completely charged up to the complete discharging, then recharge it fully before using it again. Recharge a battery not completely consumed, will result in a reduced duration. In this case, repeat the full charging/discharging cycle many times.
  • Avoid recharging the battery for the whole night.

  1. Call microphone
  2. button: Long press Power the speaker; double click for opening the TWS function
  3. RED Led: Charging indicator light
  4. button: short press VOL+, long press Next song
  5. button: Multifunction
    • short press Play/Pause
    • When a call comes: short press to answer or end a call. Long press to call rejection. Double-click to the callback.
  6. button: short press VOL-, long press PREV song
  7. DC charge port (micro USB)
  8. BLUE Led: Status indicator light
  9. Resetting key

CHARGING

  • The speaker must be recharged when switched Off.
  • Insert one end of the power cord into the DC IN (7) port of the device and the other end USB into the standard 5V  == 1A charging port; in charging the RED Led (3) will be On. After fully charged, the RED Led will be Off.
  • This device is inbuilt with a charge protection circuit, which can be connected to a PC or changer for a long time; it will take about 3h to charge the battery fully; the endurance of the battery depends on low or high volume.

Note:
When the battery is low, the device will emit a warning sound for a few times before automatically turning off.

POWER ON/ OFF

  • To switch on the speaker, press and hold the button (2) for 4 seconds.
  • To turn off the speaker, press and hold the button (2) for 4 seconds.

VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
Press the key (6) several times to decrease the volume, or the key (4) to increase the volume.

BLUETOOTH

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION METHODS

  1. Switch On the speaker, Blue Led indicator (8) flash;
  2. Activate the Bluetooth name “XJ 50” on the mobile device (mobile phone, PC, Tablet) to search Bluetooth devices;
  3. With a manual click, the device will automatically pair and connect: a successful connection will deliver a reminding tone. (In general cases, no password is needed; for special mode, output pas-sword, input “0000”);
  4. The successfully paired device can be automatically connected for the next switch-on.

Note:

  • Within 10s after entering Bluetooth mode, the Bluetooth will automatically seek for the device and pair for connection; after 10s, it needs to be connected manually.
  • Long press key (4) and key (6) Bluetooth headset can be disconnected/reconnected.

COMMANDS AVAILABLE IN BLUETOOTH MODE

  • Press and hold the key (4) for a few seconds to go to the next song, keep the key (6) pressed for a few seconds to go to the previous song;
  • Press button (5) to pause, and press it again to resume playback.
HANDS-FREE MODE FOR CALLS

If connected to a telephone, you will hear a beep when a call is received.

  • Press the key (5) once to open the call and activate the hands-free function, and press it again to end the call;
  • Press and hold the key (5) to reject the call.
  • Double-click on the button (5) to recall the last number.

TWS PAIRING METHODS

  1. Power On the Bluetooth speaker at the same time, then the LED indicator quick flashing;
  2. Double-click on the Power button (2) of any device, and the device will issue a prompt sound. At this time, the device is in pairing mode;
  3. When it sounds again, they get paired successfully. Meanwhile the main device the LED indicator quickly flash, and the auxiliary LED indicator always lights;
  4. After getting paired, switch to the Bluetooth function.

Note: Using the TWS function must get the two devices paired first then continue the Bluetooth function.

INFORMATION ON THE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES

Warning: the operation of removal and disposal is reserved for technical personnel!
Whatever type of battery is used up, it should never be placed in household waste, fire, or water. Each type of used battery must be recycled or disposed of at appropriate dedicated collection points. To remove the battery:

  1. Remove the cover grille above the speakers.
  2. Unscrew all the screws present and separate the front part of the cabinet from the rear one;
  3. Identify the battery, remove it, and replace it with one of the same characteristics and capacity.

PRECAUTIONS FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT

The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in “separate collec-tion” and so the product must not be disposed of together with urban waste.
The user must take the product to special “separate waste collection centers” provided by the local government, or deliver it to the retailer against the purchase of a new product. Separate collection of waste and subsequent treatment, recycling, and disposal operations promotes the production of equipment with recycled materials and limits negative effects on the environment and on health caused by improper handling of waste. Illegal disposal of the product leads to the enforcement of administrative penalties.
