POTTER BUA-1000 Backup Amplifier
NOTICE TO THE INSTALLER
This manual provides an overview and installation instructions for the
BUA-1000 module. All terminals are power limited and should be wired in
accordance with the requirements of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 72 (National Fire
Alarm Code). Failure to follow the wiring diagrams in the following pages will
cause the system to not operate as intended. For further information, refer to
the control panel installation instructions. The module shall only be
installed with the listed control panels. Refer to the control panel
installation manual for proper system operation.
DESCRIPTION
The BUA-1000 is a backup amplifier and booster which provides a backup solution to maintain audio output during a failure condition of an amplifier. The BUA-1000 is equipped with a stacker bracket for secure mounting. The BUA-1000 is compatible with the DCA-5025 and DCA-10025.

INSTALLATION
The BUA-1000 is connected to the DCA-5025 and DCA-10025 using a twelve (12) pin ribbon cable. The connection is supervised and power limited. The BUA-1000 must be mounted in the DCA enclosure. Each card is equipped with a bracket for secure and accessible mounting.
