SECOMP 12021107 USB 3.0 3 Port Hub with Gigabit Ethernet Adapter

Driver Installation

Caution: DO NOT connect the Ethernet adapter to your computer before you install the provided driver. You will be instructed to do so later.

For Windows° XP/ VWindows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8

  1. Insert the provided CD into your disc drive. Locate and double-click the Setup.exe file in the Driver folder to launch the setup program.
  2. Wait for the program to install the drivers.
  3. Click Finish to complete the installation.
  4. Connect the Ethernet adapter’s USB end to a free USB port of your computer. At this stage, different situations may occur according to your operation system.

Mac OS°X v10.6-10.8

  1. Insert the provided CD and double-click the AX88179.pkg file in the Driver folder on Mac OS° X v10.6 at least.
  2. Click Continue to install and it will restart your computer automatically.
  3. Connect the Ethernet adapter to a free USB port. You can Click System Report on the desktop to check if the installation is completed.
  4. Connect the Ethernet adapter to a free USB port. Then a New port Detected screen will prompt, and you will find that a new Ethernet network interface is available.

Connecting to Your Network
Now the installation is completed. You can connect the adapter to your network devices such as a hub, switch, or router by an Ethernet cable. The Link LED should light up to indicate a proper physical connection between the adapter and the network.

Notice: The hub bus power may not meet higher power need like 2.5” HDD. In this case, we suggest that you use a power adapter for the power needed.
