How do I reinstall Rocket League on Nintendo Switch?
Reinstalling Rocket League can sometimes fix odd problems. You will first need
to uninstall, then redownload Rocket League (This will not delete game save
data).
To uninstall Rocket League:
- Highlight Rocket League on the Home Screen on your Nintendo Switch
- Press the + button on the right Joy-Con to open the game’s options menu
- Select Manage Software from the menu on the left
- Select Rocket League, then select Manage Software
- Select Delete Software
- Select Delete when asked to confirm that you want to delete the game
To re-download Rocket League:
- Select the eShop from the Home screen
- Select the profile from which Rocket League was originally purchased
- Select the Profile in the upper right corner of the eShop screen
- Select Redownload from the menu on the left

How do I Install Rocket League on Switch’s Internal Storage?
If you are getting an “Unable to Connect” error message when playing on Nintendo Switch, try installing Rocket League to the internal storage. We’ve found that this has helped some players get back online.
First, uninstall Rocket League:
- Highlight Rocket League on the Home Screen of your Nintendo Switch
- Press the + button on the right Joy-Con to open the Options menu
- Select Manage Software from the menu on the left
- Select Rocket League
- Select Manage Software
- Select Delete Software
- Select Delete again when asked to confirm
Next install Rocket League on the Internal Storage
- Power Off your Nintendo Switch
- Remove the SD Card
- Power On your Nintendo Switch
- Select eShop from the Home screen
- Select the Profile from which Rocket League was originally purchased
- Select the Profile in the upper right corner of the eShop screen
- Select Redownload from the menu on the left
- Re-insert the SD card once Rocket League is finished installing
