Intended Use
This device is intended for use as a keypad. It is suitable only for indoor
use. Any other use, not mentioned under intended use, is regarded as non-
intended and incorrect use.

This device is designed to be used as a keypad. Any incorrect use may lead
to hazardous situations and result in injuries and material damage.
This device does not contain user-serviceable parts. Unauthorized
modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such modifications
may result in injuries and material damage.
Attention
Do not expose the device to conditions that exceed the rated IP class
conditions.
This device is IP20 rated. IP (Ingress Protection) 20 class provides
protection against solid objects greater than 12 mm, such as fingers, and no
protection against harmful ingress of water.
Requirements for the User
This product may be used by ordinary persons. Maintenance and installation
may be carried by ordinary persons. Service shall be carried out only by
instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite International dealer for
more information.
Instructed persons have been instructed and trained by a skilled person, or
are supervised by a skilled person, for specific tasks and work activities
associated with the service of this product, so that they can identify risks
and take precautions to avoid them.
Skilled persons have training or experience, which enables them to recognize
risks and to avoid hazards associated with the service of this product.
Ordinary persons are all persons other than instructed persons and skilled
persons. Ordinary persons include not only users of the product but also any
other persons that may have access to the device or who may be in the
vicinity of the device.
Description of the Device
The DAP Keypad for LED Control is a dedicated keypad for use with the DAP
Silent Disco Transmitter (D1820) and the DAP Silent Disco Headphones (D1821).
With the keypad you can change the color of the LEDs on the ear cups of the
Silent Disco Headphones for each channel. There are 16 settings available.

Product compatibility
The Keypad for LED Control is designed to be operated only with the Silent
Disco Headphones and the Silent Disco Transmitter. The Silent Disco Headphones
and the Silent Disco Transmitter are not supplied with the Keypad for LED
Control.
You need to purchase the Silent Disco Headphones and the Silent Disco
Transmitter separately:
- product code: D1820 (Silent Disco Transmitter);
- product code: D1821 (Silent Disco Headphones).

Setup and Operation
Setup Example
This is a typical setup example with a Silent Disco Transmitter, a number of
Silent Disco Headphones, a Keypad for LED Control, and a DJ mixer.
Connecting the Keypad
The device is supplied with a connection cable.
Connect the 4P4C connector (02) of the device to the transmitter with supplied
cable.
When the device is connected to the transmitter, the decimal point on the
display of the transmitter lights up. For more information refer to the user
manual of the Silent Disco Transmitter.
Channel 3 is selected and the keypad is connected to the device.
Operation
With the Keypad for LED Control you can change the color of the LEDs on the ear cups of the Silent Disco Headphones for each channel.
- Connect the device to the transmitter. See 4.2. Connecting the Keypad on page 7 for more information. The decimal point on the display of the transmitter lights up.
- Select the channel on the transmitter for which you want to change the color of LEDs. See the user manual of the Silent Disco Transmitter for more information.
- Set the headphones to the selected channel. See the user manual of the Silent Disco Headphones for more information.
- Press one of the keys on the keypad (01) to change the color of the LEDs. You can select one of the following options:

- Press the 0 key to reset the colors of LEDs to the original values:
- Channel 1 – blue
- Channel 2 – red
- Channel 3 – green
- Press the F key to turn off the LEDs on the headphones.
Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting guide contains solutions to problems which can be carried
out by an ordinary person. The device does not contain user-serviceable parts.
Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such
modifications may result in injuries and material damage.
Refer servicing to instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite
International dealer in case the solution is not described in the table.

Basic Cleaning Instructions
- Clean the device with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Use a gas duster to clean the keypad.

Corrective Maintenance
The device does not contain user-serviceable parts. Do not open the device
and do not modify the device.
Refer repairs and servicing to instructed or skilled persons. Contact your
Highlite International dealer for more information.
Deinstallation, Transportation and Storage
- Use the original packaging to transport the device, if possible.
- Clean the device before storing. Follow the cleaning instructions in chapter 6.1.1. Basic Cleaning Instructions on page 9.
- Store the device in the original packaging, if possible.
Disposal
Correct disposal of this product
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
This symbol on the product, its packaging or documents indicates that the
product shall not be treated as household waste. Dispose of this product by
handing it to the respective collection point for recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. This is to avoid environmental damage or personal injury
due to uncontrolled waste disposal. For more detailed information about
