PHILIPS MasterConnect App

INTRODUCTION

  Download the Philips MasterConnect app on your phone and register

Get started with the app

The Philips MasterConnect app is the tool to setup, configure, and manage a MasterConnect system on site. Simply download on the Apple App Store or Google Play and register using your e-mail address to start with MasterConnect.

Create a project

Every MasterConnect installation starts with creating a project that contains all information on groups and lights.

1. Select ”Add a new project” from the left side menu to create a new project.
2. Enter a project name and optionally the project location. Confirm by tapping ”Create a project”.
3. Select the project and start adding groups and lights to the project.

Commissioning

To connect and commission MasterConnect lights, simply create a group and add the lights to the right group using Bluetooth.

1. Tap “+” and enter a name to create a group
2. Tap “+” and ”lights ”to add MC devices
3. Wait for the app to discover MC devices
4. Add lights using the device list or with a torchlight (for integrated sensors only) and click ”Finish commissioning”

Adding switches

For manual control of the lights, just add a wireless switch to a group or zone.

1. Tap ”+” and “Switches” to start the process
2. Choose the switch brand and model
3. Follow the instructions to set up the switch
4. For 4 button switches: assign two scenes

Configuration

The default light behavior can be customized to the project requirements by changing the configuration of a group, a zone, or a single light.

1. After adding the lights, tap
2. Tap “Edit configuration”
3. Check or change the parameters
4. Tap “Save and apply” to finalize the configuration

Philips MC Control app
The Philips MC Control app can be used to dim the lights or change the color temperature of a group or zone. Simply download the Philips MC Control app, scan the QR code generated in the installer app, and start controlling – no account needed.

Energy reporting

Read energy usage of a group via the Philips MasterConnect App to compare or report energy consumption.

1. Tap “Group info”
2. Tap “Create new report”
3. View history and download the report to view older readings
