SAFETY

  • By ignoring the safety instructions themanufacturer cannot be held responsible forthe damage.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must bereplaced by the manufacturer, its serviceagent or similarly qualified persons in orderto avoid a hazard.

  • The appliance must be placed on a stable,level surface.
  • This appliance is only to be used forhousehold purposes and only for thepurpose it is made for. In worst case thefood can catch fire. (i.e. do not use morethan one tea spoon of oil, no meat that willrelease to much grease or water intendedfor boiling foods.
  • This appliance shall not be used by childrenaged less than 8 years. This appliance canbe used by children aged from 8 years andabove and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack ofexperience and knowledge if they have beengiven supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way andunderstand the hazards involved. Childrenshall not play with the appliance. Keep theappliance and its cord out of reach ofchildren aged less than 8 years. Cleaningand user maintenance shall not be made bychildren unless older than 8 and supervised.
  • To protect yourself against an electric shock,do not immerse the cord, plug or appliancein the water or any other liquid.
  • The appliance is to be connected to asocket-outlet having an earthed contact (forclass I appliances).
  • WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switchoff the appliance to avoid the possibility ofan electric shock.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reachof children less than 8 years.
  • The temperature of accessible surfaces maybe high when the appliance is operating.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operatedby means of an external timer or a separateremote-control system.
  • Surfaces indicated with this logo are liable to get hot during use.
  • In order to prevent disruptions of the airflow do not put anything on top of the appliance and make sure there is always 10 centimeter of free space around the appliance.
  • After the baking process the appliance needs to cooldown, this cooling process will activate automatically when the timer is done. Avoid to unplug the appliance from the net socket before the cooling process is finished because the remaining hot air can damage the appliance.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  • Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher-proof.
  • The pan and basket are dishwasher-proof, they can also be cleaned with some washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • If dirt is stuck to the basket or the bottom of the pan, fill the pan with hot water with some washing-up liquid. Put the basket in the pan and let the pan and the basket soak for about 10 minutes.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Remove all packaging material.
  • Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.
  • Thoroughly clean the basket and the pan with hot water, somewashing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal and level surface, donot place the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
  • Place the basket in the pan properly
  • When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour willoccur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragranceis only temporary and will disappear soon.
  • This is an air fryer that works on hot air. Do not fill the panwith oil or frying fat.
  • In order to prevent disruptions of the airflow do not putanything on top of the appliance and make sure there isalways 10 centimeter of free space around the appliance.
  • Note: for baking chips we advise a maximum of 1500 gramsto get the best result.
  • NOTE: After the baking process the appliance needs to cooldown, this cooling process will activate automatically whenthe timer is done. Please avoid unplugging the appliancefrom the net-socket before the cooling process is finishedbecause the remaining hot air can damage the appliance.
USE
  • Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket.
  • Carefully pull the pan out of the air fryer.
  • Put the ingredients in the basket.
  • Slide the pan back into the air fryer.
  • Never use the pan without the basket in it.
  • Do not touch the pan during and some time after use, as it getsvery hot. Only hold the pan by the handle.
  • There are 8 frying programs included: Chicken, Meat, Fish, Bake,Aerofryer fries, Roast, Shellfish/Crustaceans and Vegetables.Use the mode button to select the desired program.
  • When you press the power button, the aerofryer will start thecorresponding program. When you have chosen the wrongprogram, you can abort by pressing the power button again. The device will stop after 20 seconds. After this you can select anotherfunction. It is also possible to adjust the chosen program by changingthe time and temperature.
  • The time can be adjusted with the timer control buttons. Press thetimer control buttons one time to increase or decrease the frying timeby one minute. Press and hold one of the buttons to adjust the timefaster. You can set the timer between 1 and 60 minutes.
  • The temperature can be adjusted with the temperature control buttons.Press the temperature control buttons one time to increase ordecrease the temperature by 5 degrees. Press and hold one of thebuttons to adjust the temperature faster. You can set the temperaturebetween 80 and 200 degrees.
  • It is also possible to start the device without selecting a function. Setthe time and temperature with the timer and temperature controlbuttons, then press the power button.
  • When you pull out the pan during the frying process, the device willshut off automatically. When you reinsert the device, the program willresume.
  • To cancel any program, press the power button. The device will shutoff after 20 seconds.
  • During the hot air frying process, the heating-up light will blink duringheating, when the set temperature is reached the heating-up light willstay on continuously. When the temperature drops below the settemperature the heating-up light will start blinking again to maintain theset temperature.
  • Excess oil from the ingredients is collected on the bottom of the pan.
  • Some ingredients require shaking halfway through the preparationtime. To shake the ingredients, pull the pan out of the appliance by thehandle and shake it. Then slide the pan back into the air fryer. Do notpress the basket release button during shaking
  • When you hear the timer beep, the set preparation time has elapsed.The device will shut off after 20 seconds. Pull the pan out of theappliance and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Check if the ingredients are ready. If the ingredients are not ready yet,simply slide the pan back into the appliance and set the timer to a fewextra minutes.
  • To remove small ingredients (e.g. fries), press the basket releasebutton and lift the basket out of the pan. Do not turn the basket upsidedown with the pan still attached to it, as any excess oil that hascollected on the bottom of the pan will leak onto the ingredients.
  • Empty the basket into a bowl or onto a plate. When a batch ofingredients is ready, the air fryer is instantly ready for preparinganother batch.

Tips

  • Shaking smaller ingredients halfway during the preparation timeoptimizes the end result and can help prevent unevenly friedingredients.
  • Add some oil to fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry your ingredientsin the air fryer within a few minutes after you’ve added the oil.
  • Do not prepare extremely greasy ingredients such as sausages in theair fryer.
  • Place the baking tin in the basket if you want to bake a cake or quicheor if you want to fry fragile ingredients or filled ingredients.
  • You can also use the air fryer to reheat ingredients. To reheatingredients, set the temperature to 150°C for up to 10 minutes.• Baking times may vary based on amount of fries, type of fries,
    temperature and brand.
