WARNINGS
The following notes are valid for the entire operating instructions in order to point out the various degrees of injury that can occur in the event of improper operation.
Note:
Failure to follow the instructions correctly may result in property damage
and/or personal injury.
Read the ENTIRE manual to familiarize yourself with the functions of the product before operating it. Failure to operate the product properly may result in damage to the product, personal property, and serious injury.
This is a sophisticated model aircraft and NOT a toy. It must be operated with caution and common sense and requires some basic mechanical skills. Failure to operate this product in a safe and responsible manner may result in injury or damage to the product or other property. This product is not intended for use by children without direct adult supervision. Do not attempt to disassemble, use with incompatible components, or expand the product in any way without obtaining MODSTER‘s approval. This manual contains instructions for safety, operation and maintenance. Be sure to read and follow all instructions and warnings in this manual before setting up, or using the model to ensure proper operation and to prevent damage or serious injury.
Age recommendation:
Not suitable for children under 14 years. This is not a toy.
Safety Instructions
As the user of this product, you are solely responsible for operating the product in a manner that does not endanger yourself or others, or cause the product to damage the property of others.
- Make sure all batteries are fully charged before use.
- Check all servo systems and their connections before each use.
- Do not operate the aircraft near people, parking lots, or other areas where personal injury or property damage could occur.
- Never operate the aircraft in poor weather conditions. Poor visibility can cause the aircraft to lose direction and control.
- Never point the transmitter antenna directly at the aircraft. The radiation pattern at the tip of the antenna is inherently low.
- If you experience unstable or abnormal operation at any time during operation, please stop operation immediately until the cause of the malfunction is found and corrected.
Battery usage and charging warning
ATTENTION:
All instructions and warnings must be followed exactly. Incorrect handling of
LiPo/LiIon/NiMh batteries can lead to fire, injury and/or property damage.
- The charger supplied with your aircraft is designed to safely balance and charge the specific LiPo/LiIon/NiMh battery.
- By handling, charging or using the supplied battery, you assume all risks associated with it.
- If at any time the battery begins to swell, stop operating immediately. If the battery is in the process of charging or discharging, you should stop charging and disconnect the battery from the charger. Using, charging, or discharging a battery that is swelling may cause a fire.
- Store the battery in a dry & closed place to prolong its life.
- Transport or store the battery in a temperature range of 4-37° Celcius (40-100 degrees). Do not store the battery or aircraft in a car or in direct sunlight. If you store the battery in a car that is too warm, it may be damaged or even cause a fire.
- Always charge the battery at a sufficient distance from flammable materials.
- Always check the battery before charging and never charge damaged batteries.
- Always disconnect the battery after charging and allow it to cool down.
- Constantly monitor the temperature of the battery during charging.
- Only use a charger specifically designed for charging this battery.
- Never discharge LiPo cells below 3 V under load.
- Never cover warning labels with Velcro strips.
- Never leave charging batteries unattended.
- Never charge batteries outside of recommended levels.
- Never attempt to disassemble or modify the charger.
- Never allow minors to charge batteries.
- Never charge batteries in extremely hot or cold locations or in direct sunlight. We recommend charging at a temperature between 4-37° Celcius (40-100 degrees).
- Never charge or store the battery in the model.
- Remove the battery after each flight
Scope of delivery
Charging Instruction
- Disconnect the battery from the aircraft.
- Connect the charger to the USB port of your computer or USB adapter.
- Connect the battery to the charger.
- The charging process takes approximately 3 hours.
For safety reasons, do not charge the battery for more than 4 hours. During the charging process, the red LED indicator lights up. When charging is complete, the LED indicator changes to green.
Installation Instructions
- Insert 4 AA batteries into the transmitter and secure the cover with the enclosed screws.
- Insert the landing gear steering wire into the slots of the main wing as shown.
- Insert the landing gear into the plastic mounting hole in the rear of the fuselage.
- First switch on the transmitter. Open the battery cover and insert the battery plug into the socket of the controller. Place the battery in the housing and lock the lid.
The installation is completed. Before operating the aircraft, be sure to read and follow all instructions!
Centering of the control surfaces
Note:
Before performing the following steps, please set the Top Gyro switch to
EXPERT.
With the transmitter powered on, the battery connected to the controller and installed in the battery compartment, you can now check the center of all control surfaces. Observe the rudder to make sure it is properly centered as shown below.
Observe the elevator to make sure it is properly centered as shown below.
Re-observe the aileron to make sure it is properly centered, see here:
If the rudder is tilted left or right, please rotate the pushrod connectors slightly and make sure the rudder is properly centered.
If the elevator tilts left or right, please rotate the pushrod connectors slightly and make sure the elevator is properly centered.
If the push rods are as illustrated, the correct length can be adjusted by bending the arcuate sections.
If the aileron tilts to the left or right, please rotate the pushrod connectors slightly and make sure the aileron is properly centered. Or bend the bowed sections accordingly.
Note:
All U-clevises are pre-installed in the center hole of the control horn, so
you don’t have to make any changes to the control horn hole during flight.
Remote Control
Gyro switch
- 0 – Away from you / Gyro off (EXPERT)
- 1 – Softer in the middle / Gyro helps (ADVANCED)
- 2 – Towards you / Gyro helps strongly (BEGINNER)
This aircraft is equipped with a pre-installed Gyro system to make flying easier. The system provides 3 levels of assistance.
- When the switch is in position 0 (away from you), there is no assistance. We recommend this position only to experienced pilots or experts.
- Position 1 (middle switch position) provides gentle leveling and
- position 2 “Beginner” provides the strongest support.
ATTENTION:
It is strongly recommended to select position 2 or 1 for the first flight. As
you gain experience, you can progress from 2 to 1 to 0. The position of the
Gyro switch can be changed during the flight. So if you are having difficulty,
we recommend that you set the switch to position 2.
Note that the calibration of the Gyro system MUST be performed before the very first flight of the model.
Binding receiver and transmitter
Your model is shipped with the transmitter already bound to the receiver
When binding, the receiver is programmed to recognize the GUID code (Globally
Unique identifier code) of a single specific transmitter. When a receiver is
bound to a transmitter, it will only respond to that specific transmitter. If
for some reason you need to rebind, please follow these steps:
- Keep the transmitter switch in the OFF position and the throttle lever in the lowest position. NOTE: Keep the gyro switch in the middle or beginner position. Keep the aircraft in a quiet environment to calculate the gyro.
- Connect the battery to the aircraft and power on the transmitter within 5 sec.
- The receiver LED will blink for 3-8 sec to bind automatically.
- When the receiver LED stops flashing, the binding process is complete.
Follow the steps below if you are operating an aircraft that is already bound:

First, turn on the transmitter.

Connect the battery to the aircraft within 3 seconds.
-
The receiver LED in the aircraft will flash and then light up after a few seconds.

Set the top gyro control stick to MIDD or BEGINNER
NOTE: When you switch on the Gyro for the first time, let the aircraft stand still for 3-5 sec. in a quiet environment to calibrate and activate the Gyro. When it starts to respond, it is activated. -
Turn the throttle stick to maximum and then to a minimum to activate the engine.
ATTENTION:
CAUTION:
DO NOT operate the model in the vicinity of persons or objects, as this may
result in serious damage!
Follow these steps to unlock the throttle:
- Move the throttle lever to the maximum position until you hear a “beep”.
- Then move the throttle lever to the lowest position until you hear the “beep”.
- Now the throttle lever is unlocked.
Note: For your safety, keep your distance from the propeller.
Digital trims
- The digital trims allow you to adjust the center position of the aileron, rudder, and elevator.
- Each time a trimmer is moved, the servo output changes by an angle.
- When the trimmer is held, the output moves in that direction until the trimmer is released or the output reaches its end.
- When you hear a long beep, it means the trimmer is centered.
Checking the channel reaction
Place your aircraft in a neutral level position and perform the following steps to check the reaction of the channels:
- Move the control sticks (except the throttle stick) to see if all servo surfaces respond correctly as shown in the left diagram (e.g. left throttle).
- Pan the aircraft to see if all servo surfaces respond correctly as shown in the right diagram.
Mode 2 (Left throttle):
One-key aerobatics
The one-key aerobatic function allows beginners to perform aerobatic
maneuvers by simply pressing one button!
- During the flight in the gyro control mode, press the aerobatics button.
- The transmitter will beep several times.
- During the beep, move the aileron stick in one of the two directions for auto-roll or the elevator stick in one direction for auto-loop.
One-key U-turn
The aircraft has a One-key U-turn feature that allows the aircraft to turn
around in the opposite direction of the current flight direction.
Follow these steps to activate the function, while flying in a direction:
- Press and hold the activation button for a few seconds until you hear a “beep”.
- As soon as the control surface reacts, the function is activated and the model turns 180°.
NOTE:
Each time you turn on the aircraft, you must activate the U-Turn function with
the button. To use this function during the flight, press the U-Turn switch.
The aircraft automatically turns in the opposite direction it had before the
switch was activated.
To stop the function, press the switch again or control any servo stick (rudder/elevator) and the aircraft will immediately return to your control. Whether you fly the aircraft with manual control or TOP Gyro Assist, when you turn on the one-key U-Turn function, the aircraft will automatically switch to TOP Gyro mode for a stable return flight. When you end this function, the aircraft returns to the original control mode.
CAUTION
This function is tied to the receiver and not the transmitter, which means
that the aircraft will only turn in the opposite direction it takes off.
The range of this micro airplane is about 100 meters from the remote control. Due to the size of the aircraft, we recommend flying up to 100 meters. For the average person, this is basically the limit of visibility. It is recommended to fly within this range. If the nose and tail are not clearly visible, it will be more difficult to fly the model and you may become disoriented, resulting in a crash. If there are buildings or signal/telephone towers near the flying area, it is recommended to not fly near them due to the risk of collision or reduction in range. It is not recommended to fly your model in wind speeds above level 4 (25 km/h, 15 mph, 14 knots or 6 m/s).
Calibration of the model
- Place the model on a flat, horizontal surface.
- Turn the throttle stick to the minimum position.
- Turn on the transmitter and receiver.
- DO NOT unlock the throttle lever.
- Hold the control sticks for a few seconds as shown.
- When you hear a “beep”, it means that the TOP gyro system is calibrating based on the horizontal position of the aircraft.
This procedure should be performed before the first flight of the model.
Main electronics board
The main electronics board has connection ports for DSM satellites and S-BUS receivers.
Propeller Saver
The propeller saver protects the propeller from damage and protects the electronic components from high current loads. If the aircraft encounters an obstacle, the propeller will disengage from its mount. To reinstall the propeller into the base, insert the propeller adapter through the center of the motor shaft and wait for a “click” sound to ensure it is secured.
Propeller Replacement
Carry out the following steps to replace a defective propeller. You will need a screwdriver and a pair of pliers (not included in the scope of delivery!)
- Remove the spinner and propeller by loosening the screw with a screwdriver.
- Carefully remove the propeller adapter. If it is too tight, use pliers.
- Replace all damaged parts.
- Reassemble all parts in reverse order to complete the replacement.
Checklist
NOTE:
This checklist is NOT intended to replace the contents of this manual.
Although it can be used as a quick start guide, we strongly recommend that you read the manual in its entirety before proceeding.
- Always turn on the transmitter first.
- Check if the throttle stick is in the lowest position before connecting the battery.
- Take-off: Hand start or start from a flat surface.
- Landing: On a flat surface.
- Unplug the battery from the controller.
- Always turn off the transmitter last.
Disclaimer of warranty
- Only for children 14 years and older
- The product contains small parts that can be swallowed
- Keep hands, face, hair, and loose clothing away from the rotating propellers
- Do not reach into rotating parts
- Always disconnect the battery plug and remove the battery from the model after the flight!
- Fly only where it is safe and you do not endanger third parties
- Keep the operating instructions and read them carefully and completely before using the model.
- We recommend that persons with no knowledge operate the model under the guidance of an experienced pilot
- Before each flight, test the range of the remote control, as well as the charge level of the battery, and check the batteries in the remote control.
Do not fly
- near crowds of people,
- towards people or animals,
- in poor visibility,
- in the vicinity of high-voltage lines or radio masts
- during thunderstorms, rain, snow, or in humid environments.
- Always keep the aircraft in sight and under control.
- Always use fully charged batteries.
- Always turn off the model first, then the transmitter.
- Do not use the model if it shows visual or mechanical damage.
- Always check all screw connections and structures for tightness and damage.
- Never reach into the rotating propeller – the risk of injury!
- Always disconnect and remove the flight battery from the model after the flight.
- Always charge and store the battery outside the model, the charge on a non-flammable surface, and never store the battery inside the model. Never charge batteries unattended!
