PorTronix thanks you for choosing a JBA Performance Exhaust Product. To realize the potential of JBA’s engineering and excellent ft. Please Read and Understand these instructions completely prior to starting the installation. Check that you received all the parts listed on the parts list, if you hava any concerns, please contact PerTronix before continuing. Headers will have the part number stamped in the flange. Work Smart Work Safe! Most Header and Exhaust Installation are best performed on a lift. If a lift is not available, raise the vehicle and support on quality Jack Stands on level ground. Do not rely on a jack! We use scaling brads on all our headers. The raised bead creates a better seal virtually criminating leaks if installed properly. It is important lo install all header bolls lightly snug and then lighten lo factory torque specs starting in the center and working outward. Before starting. allow the vehicle to coal, disconnect that battery, and spray oil on all hardware and fittings that will need to be removed. Once you remover your manifold, clean the sealing surface on the hoed of any old gasket debris or carbon build up.

Remove plastic shield from under side of frame.
Loosen the exhaust system, apply lubricant to the rubber hangers, slip exhaust off of front exhaust pipes.
Unplug 02 sensors, Unbolt front exhaust pipes from manifolds. Remove from car.
DRIVER’S SIDE:
Remove the 02 sensor from factory exhaust manifold.
Place a jack under the oil pan with a board between the jack and the pan. Remove the two 18mm nuts, and studs attaching the motor mount to the frame. Raise the engine about 1”.
Remove the four 15mm headed bolts attaching motor mount bracket to the engine block. Then remove the motor mount.
Remove the four 10mm nuts from the heat shield on the exhaust manifold. Then remove the heat shield.
Remove the bolts attaching the manifold to the head and remove the manifold.
Clean the sealing surface of the cylinder head.
Apply a small amount of anti seize to the header bolts and install the new JBA header using the supplied gasket and hardware provided.
Re-install the motor mount. Then lower the engine and re-install studs attaching motor mount to frame.
Install O2 sensor into the header with a small amount of anti-seize on the threads.
PASSENGER SIDE:
Remove the 02 sensor from factory exhaust manifold. Place a jack under the oil pan with a board between the jack and the pan. Remove the two 18mm nuts, and studs attaching the motor mount to the frame.
Remove the two 10mm headed bolts attaching the heat shield to the motor mount bracket. Re-move heat shield.
Remove the nut at the rear, and the bolt at the front of the brace connecting the motor mount and the alternator bracket. Remove brace.
Loosen the 10mm nut on the manifold heat shield, and remove the Oil Dipstick.
Raise the engine about 1”.
Remove the two bolts attaching the motor mount to the engine bracket. Remove the motor mount.
Remove the four 10mm nuts attaching the heat shield to the exhaust manifold and remove the heat shield.
Remove the bolts attaching the manifold to the head and remove the manifold.
Clean the sealing surface on the cylinder head.
Apply a small amount of anti seize to the header bolts and install the new JBA header using the supplied gasket and hardware provided. Use the original stud and new spacer at the dipstick bracket position.
Re-install motor mount. Lower engine, re-install studs attaching motor mount to frame.
Re-install dipstick, using an original nut.
Re-install the brace connecting the alternator bracket to the motor mount. Re-install the motor mount heat shield.
Install the O2 sensor.
Exhaust:
Apply a small amount of O2 sensor safe, Hi-temp RTV silicone sealer to the dome on the header collector.
Install the front exhaust pipes using the hardware provided. Re-connect the lower O2 sensors.
Re-connect the exhaust system to the front exhaust pipes. Align and tighten securely.
Start engine, check for leaks.
Replace plastic shield.
Retighten all hardware after about 100 miles and yearly thereafter.

WARNING
This label is required to aid in passing the California smog check program. This label must be installed in an underhold location that is easily visible.

JBA LIMITED WARRANTY

All JBA Headers and Exhaust products are guaranteed, to the original purchaser, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year. This warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation, customer applied aftermarket coatings or any discoloration or corrosion of finished surfaces. Damage or product failure resulting from collision, improper installation, off-road use, road hazards, the use of exhaust insulating wrap or like products or rust occurring after installation, is not covered by the warranty. The warranty extends only to the original purchaser. Should a part become defective it should be retuned to the original selling retailer and must be accompanied with the sales receipt. If there is no retailer in your area call the factory for a return authorization and return your part prepaid to the factory for inspection. PerTronix reserves the rights to replace or repair the alleged defective part and return the part freight collect.
