SAFETY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

• Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
• To reduce the risk of death, personal injury, or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards, read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
• Proper grounding is required to ensure safety.
• Power must be turned off at the breaker before installation or maintenance.
• Installation, service, and maintenance of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
• Wear gloves and eye protection at all times while installing, servicing, or performing maintenance on the luminaire, and avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
• Do not install damaged product. Inspect luminaire for damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, contact the manufacturer immediately.
• These instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide every possible contingency to meet in connection with installation, operation, or maintenance. Should further information be desired or should particular problems arise which are not covered sufficiently for the purchaser’s or owner’s purposes, contact the manufacturer.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Interference Statement

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

Installation Instructions

• Mount the timer onto a wall near a GFCI receptacle.
• Hang the timer from the mounting nail or screw using the slot on the back of the unit.
• The mounting nail or screw head must extend at least 3/16” out from the wall (nails or screws not included).
• The device must be mounted in a vertical position with the receptacle facing downward and with the receptacle at least 1.4 meters above the ground level.
• Plug the power supply cord into the outlet.

Operating Instructions

Setup

• Before programming the timer, plug the timer into a wall outlet for 30 minutes to charge the internal battery. This timer has an internal backup battery to save all programming. Once the screen display appears, timer is ready for programming.
• The LCD display might turn off after a long time without use. Plug the timer into an outlet once every 3 months to keep the battery charged.

Reset

• To reset the timer, find the reset hole under the dashboard. Insert a thin non-conducting object into the hole to reset the timer. This will clear all programmed settings. The display will look like this:

Setting the Time and Day

• To set the Time/Day, press and hold the CLK button while pressing the HOUR and/or MIN button(s) to advance the display to the correct time. To change from AM to PM, press and hold the CLK button while pressing the HOUR button until PM is displayed. Press and hold the CLK button while pressing the DAY button until the correct day is displayed.

Programming

• The timer allows a maximum of 8 different programmable ON/OFF cycles.
• To program the first ON/OFF cycle, press the PROG button to display the 1 ON setting. The display will look like this:
• Press the HOUR and MIN buttons to set ON time. When pressing the HOUR button, verify AM or PM is set properly.
• Press the DAY button to select the desired day (or days) for the first ON time. Day options are any one individual day, only weekdays (MO-TU-WE-TH-FR), only weekends (SA-SU), or all days of the week (MO-TU- WE-TH-FR-SA-SU).
• Press the PROG button to display the 1 OFF setting. Display will look like this:
• Repeat the same procedure for programming the 1 ON setting to program the 1 OFF setting.
• To program additional ON/OFF cycles, repeat the above procedure to create additional ON/OFF cycles (2 ON-2 OFF, 3 ON-3 OFF, etc.) up to a maximum of 8 different ON/OFF cycles.
• Once all ON/OFF cycles are programmed correctly, press the CLK button to exit programming mode.

Review/Change Programming

• To review the programmed ON/OFF cycles, press the PROG button to scroll through all cycles. Stop at any cycle you want to change.
• To change any programmed cycle, press the HOUR, MIN, and DAY buttons as needed to revise any individual cycle’s ON/OFF times. Make sure the desired day/times selected for all ON/OFF cycles don’t overlap any other day/time settings.
• Press the CLK button to exit programming mode when finished.

Modes

• Plug the device(s) (maximum of two devices) into the bottom of the timer and plug the timer into a GFCI AC receptacle.
• The device(s) must be turned ON or be in the ON position before plugged into timer.
• Press the MODE button until AUTO appears on left side of the display. The timer must be in AUTO mode for programmed settings to operate.
• Press the MODE button until ON appears on left side of the display. This setting will override the programmed settings and the connected device(s) will remain ON.
• Press the MODE button until OFF appears on left side of the display. This setting will override the programmed settings and the connected device(s) will remain OFF.
• Press the MODE button until RDM appears on left side of the display. This setting will override the programmed settings and the connected device(s) will randomly operate +/- 30 minutes of the programmed settings to simulate actual use and give your home a lived-in look.

Troubleshooting

• The timer is not operating as desired
  • Check the outlet for power.
  • Check that the connected device(s) works – plug the device(s) directly into an outlet with power.
  • Check that the timer is in the correct mode.
  • Check the programmed cycles for conflicts and overlapping day/time settings.
  • Don’t exceed maximum wattage rating.
