PM01 Power Meter

The power meter is a monitoring and testing device for measuring power consumption of a connected appliance and the cost of the electricity consumed.

Display Modes

  1. There are 7 display modes to show different data measured. Please press FUNCTION button to switch between different modes(from LCD DISPLAY<1> to LCD DISPLAY<7>).
  2. The first line shows the cumulative time: The duration of how long the device is connected to the power.
    Within the first 60 minutes: the time is showed as minutes and seconds, e.g. 12:06 means 12 minutes and 6 seconds;
    Over 60 minutes: the time is showed as hours and minutes, e.g. 12:06 means 12 hours and 6 minutes;
    Over 24 hours(cycle repeated) : the time is counted from 0:00 again, while 1 day is added on Display 2 (check the third line on Display 2).

Electricity Price Settings

  1. Press and hold the COST button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. (The “COST/kWh” in the lower right corner of the third line flashes)
  2. Press the FUNCTION button to select the locations, and press UP/DOWN button to set the numbers.
  3. Press COST button to save the price settings.
    (Currency unit is undefined. The price and the cost is consistent in any currency unit you want)

Overload Settings

The default overload threshold is 3680W. To change it:

  1. Press the FUNCTION button for more than 3 seconds to enter the setting mode.
  2. Press the FUNCTION button to select the locations, and press UP/DOWN button to set the numbers.(Rest UK threshold: 2900W; US threshold: 1800W)
  3. Press the COST button to save the overload settings.

Overload Warning
The default overload threshold is 3680W. Once the loading power is over overload threshold, “OVERLOAD” flashes on the display. Please turn off the appliance for safety concern.

Memory Function
When power off, all setting data and cumulative data(Electricity quantity, cost, unit price, time) will be saved. The data will be displayed again when power on.(NOT including current, voltage, power, power factors)
Data Clear (cumulative data only)
Press and hold the “FUNCTION” button and “UP” button at the same time to clear all cumulative data(kWh data, cost data and total time data), NOT including price and overload settings.
What to do if the power meter is blank or crashes?
Do NOT press RESET button. Unplug the power meter and plug again to reset it. After reset, all cumulative data is  saved.
Reset Button
Avoid using RESET button first. If the power meter must be reset, use the included reset tool to press the reset button in the small hole. Do NOT press with a pin to avoid  the button getting stuck in the hole. After reset, all data will be clear to factory settings.

The consumption and time will NOT be measured and counted when:

  1. The measured device is in standby or not working;
  2. The rated power of the measured device is smaller than 0.5 watt.
    In this way you know the actual working time of your device.

Backlight
When connected to the power supply, the backlight lights up immediately. If no button pressed for 10 minutes, the backlight will turn off and will be light up if you press any  button again. (Backlight only lights up when the device is connected to AC power.)
