Product Information

The Seagate Ultra Touch HDD is a portable external hard drive that comes with USB-C connectivity. It is compatible with both PC and Mac and is preformatted exFAT for immediate use. The device comes with a pre-installed Toolkit that allows for password protection of the drive. It also meets Google’s compatibility standards and is compatible with Chromebook.

The product conforms to Part 15 of the FCC Rules and has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device. It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and may cause harmful interference to radio communications if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions.
The Seagate Ultra Touch HDD comes with a Seagate Limited Warranty Statement that can be accessed on the drive or through the company’s website. Customers can also contact an authorized Seagate service center or visit their website for more information regarding customer support within their jurisdiction.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the Seagate Ultra Touch HDD, follow these instructions:

  1. Connect the drive to your device using the USB-C cable.

  2. For PC users, follow the Start_Here_Win instructions to download and install Toolkit and create a password for your drive.
    For Mac users, follow the Start_Here_Mac instructions to use the pre-installed Toolkit and create a password for your drive.

  3. If you are using the device with Time Machine on a Mac, reformatting is necessary, which will delete all data previously stored on the drive.
    Visit www.seagate.com/time-machine for more information on how to reformat the drive.

  4. Always follow safe removal procedures for your operating system when disconnecting your product to protect your data.

Mac: This drive is preformatted exFAT for use with both PC and Mac. For Time Machine, it must be reformatted for Mac. Reformatting will delete all data previously stored on the drive. www.seagate.com/time-machine
