Cleaning and maintenance

  • Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  • Never pour cold water on a hot plate, this could damage the device and can cause splashing hot water.
  • Wipe the inside and the edges of the appliance with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
  • Never immerse the electrical device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.
  • Ensure the socket and electrical pins are completely dry before storing or resuming use.
  • If cleaning the temperature control dial is necessary, wipe with a soft, damp cloth sponge and dry thoroughly.
  • Before each use, ensure the knob is securely attached and retighten as necessary.
  • For better non-stick performance, it is recommended to add a teaspoon of cooking oil prior to each use.
  • Never heat an empty wok. Be sure there is oil, butter, liquid or food before heating.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
  • We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the appliance (this way you don’t get burn marks on your table or table cloth).
  • Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.
  • Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)
  • Place the supplied thermostat in the connection of the thermostat.
  • When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odor will occur.
    This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.

USE

  • Attach the thermostat to the socket by aligning the electrical pins in the socket with the electrical pinholes in the thermostat and then slide the thermostat into position on the base.
  • The heating surface should be rubbed in with some food oil.
  • Use the temperature knob on the thermostat to choose the desired temperature.
  • The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the product is heating.
  • When the indicator light turns off, the product has reached the selected temperature. Place food contents into the wok and cover with the lid if necessary.
  • NOTE: Do not overfill the electric wok.
  • NOTE: Do not cook foods at a higher temperature than necessary, as cooking at high temperatures may cause discoloration or shorten the life of the non-stick surface.
  • NOTE: Never use sharp objects on the heating surface, this will damage the anti-stick coating.
  • Once cooking is complete, set the thermostat knob to the “OFF” position and then unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • To detach the thermostat, firmly pull away from the base.
