Read the instruction manual carefully before using this device, especially the safety instructions, and keep the instruction manual for future use. Should you give this device to another person, it is vital that you also pass on these instructions for use.

  1. This electric heated overblanket must not be used by persons insensitive or highly vulnerable to heat, because they could not react if it overheats.
  2. This electric heated overblanket must not be used by very young children (from 0 to 3 years), because they could not react if it overheats.
  3. This electric heated overblanket must not be used by young children (from 3 to 8 years), unless the switch has been set by a parent or guardian and the child has received enough information to use the electric heated overblanket safely.
  4. This electric heated overblanket can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  5. Children shall not play with the electric heated overblanket.
  6. Cleaning and user maintenance shall be made by children without supervision.
  7. This electric heated overblanket is not intended for use in the hospital setting.
  8. Do not needle drive.
  9. Do not use the electric heated overblanket folded or wrinkled.
  10. Do not use the wet heated overblanket.
  11. You must use this electric heated overblanket in combination with the switch indicated on the label.
  12. Electric and magnetic fields from this electric heated overblanket may interfere with the operation of pacemakers. However, they are well below the limits: power of electric fields: 5 000 V/m max., magnetic fields power: 80 A/m max., magnetic induction: 0.1 mT Max please therefore consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this electric heated overblanket.
  13. While this electric heated overblanket is running, do not: -ask for objects (e.g. suitcase or laundry basket), -install from source of heat above, as with hot-water bottles, heated overblankets, etc.
  14. The electronic components in the switch will become hot when the heated overblanket using.
  15. You should therefore not cover switch or place it on the heated overblanket when the latter is used.
  16. Not pull, twist or do not bend the cables too strongly.
  17. This electric heated overblanket must be regularly checked for the presence of any sign of wear or damage. Where appropriate, this heated overblanket has been used inappropriately or if it heats more, it must be checked by the manufacturer before being used again.
  18. If the heated overblanket power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  19. If you want to store or fold the heated overblanket: – Allow it to cool down before folding – Do not crease it by placing items on the top of it during storage.
  20. Do not use on adjustable bed or check that the heated overblanket or cord do not become trapped or rucked.
  21. When using the electric heated overblanket for several hours, it is recommended to set the switch to the lowest temperature level to avoid overheating.
  22. Not suitable for children under 3 years.

Description

Operating

  • Connect the plug to the socket at the bottom of the heated vest and the other end to an electricity supply (AC220-240V). Make sure that there is a power socket nearby and that the power cable is not in a position where the user may trip over it.

  • To pre-heat the overblanket, select the third setting for 15 minutes. The temperature will gradually rise.

  • After pre-heating, turn the control button to the heat setting you
    require

  • To turn the device off, turn the button to the “Off” position.
    Note: The Heated overblanket has a safety protection against overheating and is set to run continuously for 90 minutes. If you wish to extend that time, it is advisable to let the heated overblanket cool down for 5 minutes before using it again.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When you are not using the electric heated overblanket and before cleaning it, follow the instructions below

  • Make sure the control button is in the “OFF» position.
  • Disconnect the power supply.
  • Disconnect the plug linking the control to the device.
  • Let the heated overblanket cool down before cleaning.

Cleaning

Small stains can be cleaned with a cloth or a damp sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate fabrics. Warning: the electric heated overblanket should not be dry-cleaned, bent, dried in a dryer or machine-pressed or ironed. If the heated overblanket is very dirty, it can be washed only by hand at 30ºC (maximum). Machine wash, dry clean or tumble try may damage the inner heating wire due to the high speed strength. Use a detergent for delicate fabrics and measure it out according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not wash the heated overblanket too often to avoid excessive wear and tear. When drying the heated overblanket, do not hang it up with clothes pegs or other such devices. Do not expose the heated overblanket to heat sources such as the sun, a radiator, etc. Only reconnect the power cable to the heated overblanket when the plug and the fabric are completely dry. Never switch the electric heated overblanket on to dry it.

Storage

If you are not using the heated overblanket for a long time, it is advisable to store it in its original packaging in a dry place and not to place any objects on top of it.Correct disposal of the unit (Electrical and Electronic Equipment) (Applicable in the European Union and the rest of Europe that have adopted separate collection systems countries) The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collection. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their product.
