GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
  • Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead). If the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the device without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
  • The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
  • Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
  • Use only original spare parts.

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS DEVICE

  • Make sure the heating element and the outside of the inner pot are clean and dry before you put the plug in the wall socket.
  • Do not use the appliance if the sealing ring is damaged.
  • Do not plug in the appliance or press any of the buttons on the control panel with wet hands.
  • Never connect this appliance to an external timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous situation.
  • Only use the rice scoop provided. Avoid using sharp utensils.
  • Do not expose the multicooker to high temperatures, nor place it on a working or still hot stove or cooker.
  • Always insert the inner pot before you put the plug in the wall socket and switch on the device.
  • Always unplug the multicooker if you are not going to use it for a longer period of time.
  • Always let the multicooker cool down before you clean or move it.
  • Do not place the inner pot directly over an open fire to cook.
  •  If the appliance is used improperly or for professional or semi-professional purposes or if it is not used according to the instructions in this user manual, the guarantee becomes invalid and the producer refuses liability for any damage caused.
  • Place the multicooker on a stable, horizontal and level surface.
  • The accessible surfaces may become hot when the appliance is operating. Only touch the control panel.
  • Beware of hot steam coming out of the steam vent during cooking or out of the multicooker when you open the lid.
  • Do not lift or move the multicooker by its handle while it is operating.
  • Be careful with the inner pot and the steam basket when you handle them after the cooking process, as they may be hot and heavy.
  • Do not expose the multicooker to direct sunlight.
  • Do not insert metallic objects or alien substances into the steam vent.
  • Do not place a magnetic item on the lid. Do not use the appliance near a magnetic item.
  • Do not use the inner pot if it is deformed.
  • Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated in the inner pot to prevent overflows.
  • Do not place the rice scoop inside the pot while cooking, keeping warm or reheating.
  • Always clean the appliance after use.
  • Do not clean the main unit in the dishwasher.

USING THE MULTICOOKER

Functions overview

Before first use

  • Take out all the accessories from the inner pot. Remove the packaging material of the inner pot.
  • Clean the parts of the multicooker (only inner pot and plastic attachments) thoroughly before using it for the first time. Note: Make sure all parts are completely dry before you start using the multicooker.

General preparation

  • Press the lid release button to open the lid.
  • Take out the inner pot.
  • Prepare food and ingredients according to your preference.
  • Put food and ingredients into pot.
  • Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry, then put the inner pot back. Check if the inner pot is in proper contact with the heating element.
  • Insert the plug in the power socket.

Bake/ Reheat / Soup/ Baby food / Pizza/Fry

  1. Follow the general preparation steps.
  2. Press the “Menu” button until the preferred function is selected.
  3. To set a different cooking time, refer to chapter “Adjusting the cooking time”.
  4. To set a preset time, refer to chapter “Preset time for delayed cooking”.
  5. Time preset is not available for fry function.
  6. Press the “START” button to start cooking.
  7. LCD counts down the cooking time.
  8. The “Keep warm” indicator lights up.
  9. When the cooking is finished, you will hear beeps and the selected cooking function light will be off, then the multicooker switches to keep-warm mode automatically. The “Keep warm” indicator continues lighting up. And LCD counts up the keep warm time in minute.
  10. Press the “Keep warm / off” button to cancel the keep warm mode.
  11. If you want to continue the keep warm mode again, simply press the “Keep warm / off” button again.

Rice

  1. Measure the rice with the measuring cup provided.
  2. Each cup of uncooked rice normally gives 2 bowls of cooked rice. Do not exceed the quantities indicated on the inside of the inner pot. 1 cup of rice is approx. 180ml.
  3. Inner pot capacity is 5.0L, maximum capacity for cups of rice is 1.8L.
  4. Wash the rice thoroughly.
  5. Put the pre-washed rice in the inner pot.
  6. Add water to the level indicated on the scale inside the inner pot that corresponds to the number of cups. Then smooth the surface of the rice.
  7. For instance, if you cook 4 cups of white rice, add water up to the 4-cup level for rice indicated on the scale inside the inner pot.
  8. The level marked inside the inner pot is just an indication; you can always adjust the water level for different types of rice and your own preference.
  9. Follow the general preparation steps.
  10. Press the “Menu” button until the rice function is selected.
  11. To set a preset time, refer to chapter “Preset time for delayed cooking”.
  12. Press the “START” button to start cooking. LCD shows “—-“.
  13. The display counts down the cooking time only in the last 10 minutes of the cooking process.
  14. The “Keep warm” indicator lights up.
  15. When the cooking is finished, you will hear beeps and the selected rice function light will be off, then the multicooker switches to keep-warm mode automatically. The “Keep warm” indicator still lights up. And the display counts up the keep warm time in minute.
  16. Press the ”Keep warm / off” button to cancel the keep warm mode.
  17. If you want to continue the keep warm mode again, simply press the “Keep warm / off” button again.
  18. Press the lid release button to open the lid.
  19. Stir the rice to loosen it.
  20. Stirring the rice allows excess steam to escape. This gives fluffier rice.

Note : Depending on the cooking conditions, the bottom portion of the rice may become slightly browned

DIY

  • You may use the DIY mode to cook food with more control over the cooking time and temperature.
  • It’s recommended to open lid during cooking when the temperature is above 140°C.
    • Follow the general preparation steps.
    • Press the “Menu” button until the DIY function is selected. The default cooking time will be displayed on the screen. To set a different cooking time, refer to chapter “Adjusting the cooking time”.
    • To set a preset time, refer to chapter “Preset time for delayed cooking”.
    • Press the “START” button to start cooking.
  • The display counts down the cooking time.
  • If the cooking temperature is set within 35-65°C, the keep warm indicator is off; If the cooking temperature is set within 70-170°C, the keep warm indicator is on.
    • When the cooking is finished, you will hear beeps and the selected cooking function light will be off. The multicooker would switch to keep-warm mode or standby mode according to the set cooking temperature.

Pasta

  1. Put some water into the inner pot.
  2. Follow the general preparation steps.
  3. Press the “Menu” button until the pasta function is selected. To set a different cooking time, refer to chapter “Adjusting the cooking time”.
  4. To set a preset time, refer to chapter “Preset time for delayed cooking”.
  5. Press the “START” button to start cooking.
  6. The display will count down the cooking time once the water boils, at the same time, the multicooker will beep.
  7. The keep warm indicator lights up.
  8. When the water is boiling, open the lid and put the food into the inner pot carefully.
  9. Be careful the hot steam when opening the lid. After that, close the lid again.
  10. Make sure all ingredients including water do not exceed 4L.
  11. When the cooking is finished, you will hear beeps and the selected cooking function light will be off, then the multicooker switches to keep-warm mode automatically. The “Keep warm” indicator still lights up. And the display counts up the keep warm time in minute.
  12. Press the “Keep warm / off” button to cancel the keep warm mode.
  13. If you want to continue the keep warm mode again, simply press the “Keep warm / off” button again.

Note : You can also cook pasta, water with the pasta sauce together. Then you have to be very sure of the right ratio of water and pasta. When the water and pasta start to boil, the default cooking time starts counting down. During the cooking, you can open the lid and stir the pasta a bit to prevent the pasta sticks together. You can try with attached pasta recipe

Steam

  1. Measure 3 cups of water with the measuring cup and pure them into the inner pot. Do not immerse the steam basket in water.

  2. It takes around 8 minutes for 3 cups of water to come to be boiled.

  3. The amount of water depends on the amount of food to be steamed.

  4. Put the steam basket in the inner pot.

  5. Put the food to be steamed in steam basket.
    Note : To ensure even steaming, spread out the food evenly and do not pile it up.

  6. Follow the general preparation steps.

  7. Press the “Menu” button until the steam function is selected. To set a different cooking time, refer to chapter “Adjusting the cooking time”.

  8. To set a preset time, refer to chapter “Preset time for delayed cooking”.

  9. Press the “START” button to start cooking.

  10. The display will count down the cooking time once the water boils, at the same time, the multicooker will beep.

  11. The keep warm indicator lights up.

  12. When the cooking is finished, you will hear beeps and the selected cooking function light will be off, then the multicooker switches to keep-warm mode automatically. The “Keep warm” indicator still lights up. And the display counts up the keep warm time in minute.

  13. Press the “Keep warm / off” button to cancel the keep warm mode.

  14. If you want to continue the keep warm mode again, simply press the “Keep warm / off” button again.

Keep warm mode

  • The keep warm mode allows you to keep your food warm for a longer period of time.

  • The maximum keep warm time is 12 hours in 70°C

  • The appliance will switch to keep warm mode automatically at the end of cooking.
    Note : Automatic keep warm is not available for DIY function when temperature is set within 35-65°C.

  • Press “Keep warm/off” button in standby mode to start keep warm mode.

  • On keep warm mode, LCD counts up the keep warm time in minute.
    Note : In any mode, you can press “Keep warm/off” button to enter into standby mode.

Adjusting the cooking time

  • You can adjust the cooking time for all cooking modes except rice function. Refer to the “Functions overview” table for the time regulation of each function.
  • After you have selected the desired cooking function, the default cooking time will be displayed on the screen. To activate cooking time adjustment, press the “Cooking time” button, indicator of cooking time setting flashes. Then you can press button “–“ to decrease or button “+” to increase the cooking time.

Preset time for delayed cooking

  • You can preset the delayed cooking time for all cooking modes except fry function.
  • Select the desired function, press the “Preset” button to activate preset function. The indicator of preset function flashes. The screen displays the minimum preset time 10 minutes . Press button “–“ to decrease or button “+” to increase the preset time. Press “START” button to start and preset time counts down. The cooking process will be started when the preset time has elapsed. The indicator of preset function turn off.

CLEANING

  • Unplug the multicooker before you clean it.
  • Wait until the multicooker has cooled down sufficiently before you clean it.
  • To protect the non-stick coating of the inner pot, do not use the inner pot for washing dishes.
  • Do not put vinegar in the pot.
  • Take the steam basket and the inner pot out of the main unit of the appliance.
  • Detach the steam vent cup from the outer lid by pulling it upwards.
    •  To open the steam vent cup, turn the upper cover left
    •  To reattach the steam vent cup, turn the upper cover right till the hooks click to the right places.
    •  To put the steam vent cap back into the vent hole of the outer lid, insert it into the hole and push it down firmly.
  • Clean the inner pot, steam basket, rice scoop and steam vent cap with a sponge or a cloth in hot water with some washing-up liquid.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers or metal utensils to clean the inner pot as these damage the non-stick coating.
  • Use only a damp cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the main unit of the multicooker.
  • Never immerse the main unit of the multicooker in water, nor rinse it under the tap water.

RECIPES

Pasta (Serves 3-4 persons)

Ingredients:

  • 250g pasta (penne or macaroni)
  • 200ml pasta sauce
  • 700ml water

Put the pasta and pasta sauce in the inner pot and add cold water. Press the “Menu” button and select the “Pasta” function. Set the cooking time to 20 minutes. Then press the “START” button to cook. When the pasta cooking process is finished, sprinkle some pepper or cheese on top and serve the pasta hot.

Four cheese pizza
Ingredients:

  • Yeast dough-120g/160g
  • Blue cheese-20g
  • Bechamel sauce-30g
  • Maasdam Cheese-20g
  • Hard goat cheese-20g
  • Butter-15g
  • Mozzerella-20g

Cut the cheese into 0.5cm cubes. Roll out the dough into 0.5cm thick and circle the width of the inner pot. Grease the inner pot with butter, put the dough inside, and top with the sauce and stuffing. Close the lid and remove the steam vent cup. Select “Pizza” function. Set the time for 30 minutes. Cook until the program finishes.

WARRANTY

  1. This warranty is issued by Esperanza sp.j. Poterek with address: ul. Poznańska 129/133, 05-850 Ożarów Mazowiecki, Phone: 022-7213571 w.10- called hereinafter Esperanza.
  2. This warranty confers upon you specific rights and remedies against Esperanza. Please read this document carefully, by making a claim under this warranty, you will be deemed to have under stood and accept its terms.
  3. Esperanza warrants that any Esperanza product together with attached accessories is free from defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of its normal use.
  4. If you make a claim under this warranty, Esperanza will, at its option, repair or replace any defect tive product into new one by using new or use factory-refurbished parts. In case of using factory refurbished parts they will be equal to new products.
  5. Defective product should be returned together with receipt, commercial invoice or any other proof of purchase to the place of purchase. It should include all accessories attached in original packing. Esperanza has right to reject warranty if any accessories will be missed.
  6. Esperanza is committed to respond to the complaint within 14 calendar days of its notification in the point of sale. Esperanza will repair the defective product in the shortest possible time. If will be need to import from abroad of any parts which are necessary to repair this time may be extended.
  7. In case of replacing defective product onto new one, Esperanza has right to replace it with newer model with the same technical parameters if the old one model was replaced by new one during warranty period.
  8. If you make claim under this warranty, you are deemed to have agreed that repair and (upon avail-ability) replacement, as applicable, under the warranty services described herein, is your sole and exclusive remedy vis-a-vis Esperanza.

EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not extend to:

  1. Any product not manufactured by Esperanza
  2. Any product that has been damaged or rendered defective as a result of: use it in other way than normal intended use
  3. modification or internal interferes or changes of product
  4. service or repair by anyone other than Esperanza service
  5. improper store, transportation or packing
  6. improper installation of product or software mechanical, physical, chemical etc. damages
  7. In no event shall Esperanza be diable for any damages, loss of business, profits, data or loss based on use Esperanza products with other devices
  8. Products with removed warranty and other labels and products spent or have hard use marks.

All products are covered by Esperanza’s 2-year manufacturer’s warranty while product is purchased by the consumer (the consumer is a person who buys product for the purpose of not professional or commercial activity). In the case of purchase for the company (for purposes relating to the activities of professional or commercial) warranty is 1 year from date of purchase. Esperanza products have all the necessary safety certificates required in the EU. According to Directive 2002/96/EC, disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment together with household waste is prohibited. Their components need to be recycled or disposed separately. Otherwise, they can cause the release of hazardous and noxious substances which pose a threat to the environment. The law requires each consumer to return unnecessary or waste electrical and electronic equipment to the producers, sales agents or waste treatment facilities. Detailed conditions are governed by national legislation. The above symbol placed on the product, in the user manual or on the packaging refers to this requirement. Thanks to proper segregation and compliance with the provisions relating to waste disposal each user contributes significantly to environmental protection.
