TracCollar OMP111REG Inflatable Neck Traction Device

INSTRUCTIONS

TracCollar-OMP111REG-Inflatable-Neck-Traction-Device-
FIG-1

  1. Prior to first use, consult your physician or a medical practitioner for your home treatment use.
  2. Place the TracCollar gently around your neck, with the opening in the back. The inflation bulbs should be in the front of the TracCollar. Place your chin in the groove at the front of the TracCollar.
  3. Fasten and adjust the TracCollar with the buckles. There should be no discomfort or tightness with the TracCollar on. The TracCollar should only rest against your throat and neck. Behind the neck, the ends of the TracCollar do not need to touch; the bladders will still inflate the device evenly.
  4. For use in a seated position, sit up straight with your back against a chair. Your head should remain at a level position, facing forward. For use while lying down, a pillow is recommended for support.
  5. To get started: inflate the TracCollar by pumping the bulbs until a light stretch is felt in your neck. You can adjust the right and left sides separately by inflating the appropriate bulbs separately until you achieve the right amount of pressure.
  6. When properly inflated, your head should rest comfortably against the back of the TracCollar.
  7. The inflatable bulbs should not be pumped more than 15 times on each side. Do not continue inflation if any discomfort is felt.
  8. When removing the TracCollar, press the bulb valves to release air pressure and deflate the TracCollar.

About the TracCollar

The TracCollar was designed and engineered in Sweden by orthopedic engineers for a better, more comfortable treatment. The TracCollar is constructed of plastic foam and the attached bulbs contain natural latex rubber. The TracCollar’s fabric covering is made of durable tricot with 97% cotton and 3% Lycra. The TracCollar allows therapists to provide their patients with effective traction treatments for at-home, daily care.

Care and Storage

To clean, gently wipe the TracCollar with warm water and mild soap. The fabric covering may be removed and washed by hand.

Neck Traction

Traction is a recognized therapeutic method used by physical therapists to relieve pain and improve posture by pulling the neck slightly. The TracCollar is a device for both professional and at home use. A physician or medical practitioner should be consulted before at-home use.
WARNINGS
To minimize the risk of injury while using the TracCollar, follow these precautions.

  1. Keep out of the reach of children.
  2. The inflation bulbs should not be pumped more than 15 times per side. Maximum traction is achieved after 15 pumps and pumping more could result in damage to the TracCollar and possibly to the neck.
  3. TracCollar should only be used under the supervision of a physician or medical practicioner. It does not replace traditional physical therapy and should only be used to supplement this treatment.
  4.  TracCollar is only a traction device and is not meant for use as a stabilization collar.
  5. The bladders inside the TracCollar contain natural rubber latex. Consult a physician before use if you are allergic to latex.
  6. If you feel lightheaded, dizzy, nauseous or experience any pain, discontinue use immediately and immediately consult your physician or medical professional.
  7. The TracCollar should not be used if your neck has any external wounds.
  8. Do not use the TracCollar while operating machinery, driving a vehicle, riding in a car, or walking.
  9. Keep the TracCollar away from sharp objects.

The sole remedy for a breach of this warranty is replacement of the entire defective product. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser. The purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase is required before full replacement will be provided.
